Anja, exactly. But that's urban fantasy - our world, the world we know and something extra - creatures from horrors & stuff. :)

PS I would also love SM wrote sequels first before she starts another story.

Welcome back, Graciella! Where have you been?

You know, as much as I'm not TTS fan there are stuff about the saga I do like. One of the best things Steph made is that whenever she stops writing from Bella's POV she writes from Jacob's. Edward's POV would be too obvious to use in a book. Jacob, as best friend, tells us something that neither Edward nor Bella knows (like plans of the wolf pack to attack the Cullens in the forth part). It was great idea. It's like showing us another angle of the story, something more than just things that happen between E. and B.

As for Stephenie's plans - the ghost thing sounds interesting. You know I always liked urban fantasy and horror - familiar surroundings and something extra. Werewolves living among us, vampires etc. Ghosts? Yes, please, why not. I hope it will be scary. :D

Hey you guys, I've been awhile but I'm back now! So I'm jumping right into your discussion ;)

Nadine it would be very cool if SM would finish MS. Just because I thought it was so interesting to find out what Edward really was thinking when Bella said or did something etc. I mean reading it made me even love Edward more(if that was possible ;). But it's not something that is necessary to me because I already know where it'll eventually lead us to, you know.
As for New Moon, that is something we will never get to read from Edwards pov. Stephenie said it a couple of years ago in a interview. She said that it would be too difficult and very depressing. Yes even more so than New Moon was. And even though I would find it also very interesting, just because his way of thinking is so much more intense and differs so much from Bella's. But again it's not something that I find necessary. And also I don't think Stephenie will ever write again from his pov...

But back to The Host, like Strange World I heard that Stephenie was thinking about doing something with mermaids and/or ghosts. So we will just have to wait and see when she'll be bringing out a sequel of The Host. We just have to be patient, you know. But I think that I will be excited with anything she'll write ;)

I do understand, Nadine! I know what you mean but... do you honestly need that? I mean if SM will ever continue MS (SM... MS... kind of confusing XDDD) that's fine, really. But... Edward said where he was at the end of NM and I can't imagine NM from his pov which would be "wandering here and there", "trying to catch Victoria" (with poor result, as we know) and "missing Bella oh sooo much". Blah! Not to mention in my opinion a new point of view makes sense if we learn completely different story. With Edward it wouldn't be - the end will be just the same. And it wouldn't be like... hmm... anyone read Interview with a vampire and Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice? The second book for a while tells the story we know from the first one but from Lestat's point of view. Louis claimed Lestat was evil. Lestat didn't deny he's evil... yet his version of the story is completely different. We learn that he actually loved Louis and Claudia.
What we would learn from MS? That Edward loves Bella (we know that), that he tried to catch Victoria (we also know that), that he missed his girlfriend as hell (oh yes, we all know that), that he was sure Bella died (we... what? Oh, yes, we know that!), that he tried to commit suicide by trying to provoke the Volturi (yes, yes, we know that), that Bella came to save his life (and that we also know).
With the first book we know already where he was when he was avoiding Bella (thankt so MS that is on the Internet), and as for the rest... Edward actually told Bella where he was and what he was doing so... there won't be anything more, I doubt if Edward had an extra trip to Carribean while he was trying to catch James. ;)

Jennifer: Believe me The Host is the best book I've ever read!
I mean like what Swiss said You will fall in love with it for the longest time!! garuntee it :)

Agi: But think about it (I mean for MS) in Twilight its only about were Bella was and what Bella was doing and stuff
but now since its Edwards POV we would kind of know what everyone's thinking and when he's away from Bella we didnt know what he was doing where he was and with who! but now we know everything! Edwards mind is like linked to everyone so its kinda like a whole new world!
and if she continues MS and wants to do a New Moon book but in Ed's POV we'd know where he was and what he was doing! I mean ALL this time he was gone we'd know EVERYTHING!
hahaha do you understand what i mean ??

Rosaleen, your question should be: is here anyone who doesn't want The host to be continued? LOL
We all love the book and can't wait for the sequel.

Strange World, wow, I didn't know that. A fantasy book? Hmm... Could be interesting but it's hard to write a good book like that. I keep my fingers crossed for Steph. :)

Steph has said she has an idea for some sort of fantasy book that involves a map at the beginning and joked that it must really be a fantasy book if it needs a map (a la Lord of the Rings, I'm guessing). I've heard other mention something about mermaids or ghosts. Not really sure if that's the direction she is/will go in but she definitely has new ideas floating around in her head.

Like most people here though I really, really hope that sequels to The Host are her next project. There's so much in that world to be explored and I desperately want more of these characters! So no more Bree Tanner, give me The Soul!

PS - I hope the Hobo Skate thing is just a temporary blip. I was going to get a shirt when money was less tight. :(
