Introduction: Stephanie Meyer choose to write the novel "Twilight" from the perspective of the "first person." By doing so she allowed her readers to have a very intimate look into Bella's thoughts. (FYI: Stephanie's English Professor said that SM's classroom writings, were some of the most open and vulnerable that he had ever read) And Stephanie gave Bella the courage to be just as "open" and vulnerable as she was. By doing so Stephanie allows her readers to feel that they "really were" or "really knew" Bella. And that is one of the key to understanding why so many people became psychologically "addicted" to "Twilight," as they shared Bella's "life."

Optional extra credit question: If someone were to say to you that they felt it was unsophisticated of Stephanie to have written her story in the "first person," how would you answer them?
As always we sincerely look forward to learning your opinions. Yours, Doc B
"Your questions are too hard.Only crazy people would find them interesting. And all of your pictures drive me nuts. So I have a new motto to live by. "When I see the little BEAR, I don't GO THERE!"
Wasn't Bella excitement about her her romance delightful. Your saying that you don't always like to be in Bella's head is interesting. Maybe, because I am a male, I always had the feeling that I was watching Bella and not living Bella's life. As you say Bella does nothing to correct her failings. It was as if her obsession with Edward, was simple too strong to break.
