The Twilight Saga

WHY DID BELLA "FIT IN" WITH THE CULLENS? AND WHY DID SHE FIT IN WITH THEIR WORLD?

Introduction: In the beginning of the novel "Twilight," Bella Swan explains to us, that that she doesn't fit in with "CLICKS." She says "I never fit in with a click at my old school which had over 3,000 students. What were my chances of finding a group to fit in with at Fork's High?" (Paraphrased)

At the end of the movie "Eclipse" screen writer Mallissa Rosenberg, has Bella explain to Edward that his world is where she belongs. (Bell had discovered that she "fit in" with both "his world and his family." Which just happens to be one of the most unusual "families" on the planet)

Bella also tells us that her first reaction on seeing the Cullen "siblings" was to pity them and feel relief for herself.

White Rose question: What was it about Bella that allowed her to "fit in" with the Cullens and fit with their world

      An OPTIONAL extra credit question:

Stephanie Meyer choose to quote Genesis 2-17 at the start of her novel "Twilight."
Why do you think that, that particular quote symbolizes the story to her? Quote: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil  thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest there of, thou shall surely die.

(The apple is the fruit of the tree..as is depicted on the cover of the book)

JOBO, Just One Bear's opinion,

Nobel Cullens, Nobel Bella. Or : Why Bella Fit IN.

Being noble originally didn't refer to the status of your birth, but rather to "your nature." The Summit executive's first question of Stephanie was "You wrote a novel about 'Nobel Vampires?" "Yes,' Was her reply.
Each Cullen ALWAYS wore one of their familys' crest. CC to EC, Q: "Remember who you are!" The symbolism of the Cullens' crest was to announce the statement: " I am a woman or man who lives by "Sincerity, Faith and Perfidity."

Bella Swan is a noble woman living in a non noble woman. At the end of the movie "Eclipse" Bella says that after experiencing Edward's world she felt that she fit in for the first time. Bella fit in with the Cullens because, with or with out Edward, she was born a Cullen.
Bella has never fitted in with any of the clicks of school which she says but not only that she actualy didn't fit with kids her age. Having to take care of her mother has made her very mature for age which might of been the reason she didn't fit kids her age, not to mention she is a bit clumsy and she doesn't like to attract attention or likes to be the center of attention. When she meets the Cullens she finds that besides the dangers she has faced since she's met them that she is stronger when around them. Bella finds comfort as being like them, a person who's not like everyone else and doesn't seem to be who you think she is when you first meet her; a mind of a mature woman even thou she doesn't seem to look like it in the outer surface. She feels that she is stronger minded since she fell in with Cullens. It's like Aro said " it's as if you were designed for this life". No body is in this world is never born to not fit any where or with anyone.
She is half vampire edward couldnt read her mind because her power was a mind shield
Dear Akilah

You make a wonderful, wonderful point Akilah. Some people think that you couldn't be in as loving a relationship if you could read the man or woman's mind you were in love with. What do you think? When you find your soul mate would you want to be able to read his mind?
Yours, Doc

well i think about how she fits be cause she very mature for her age and she always taking care of others and in new moon Jacob called her an middle age woman and i twilight she said something along the lines of "i was always a middle aged woman " i think that explains enough
Okay... I am so glad you wrote this discussion. LOL.

Bella felt like she didn't fit in with any of her peers because she felt like she was thinking differently than them. She even wondered if her mind was different. When she met Edward and the Cullens, she felt like she knew them and knew she could get along with them because they weren't modern. They were old souls like Bella's mother once called Bella. Bella is an old soul because she wasn't born a "normal" child but rather an older person in a baby's body.

She could understand where the Cullens were coming from because they were outcasts and Bella felt like she is an outcast too. Bella is a very independent person who doesn't depend on anyone. Edward liked that about her. She knew she belonged with Edward because she understood him and the family. I think that is why she had suspicions that she would have no problems being a vampire herself.

BTW, I think Edward didn't think he would EVER fall in love so it was a shock that he fell in love with Bella, a human being who is a strong person but appears fragile.... he felt overprotective of her and didn't think Bella would like him so he was shocked that she called out his name.
because she smell good
hahahhahha :)
