Comment by Xyra Silverleaf yesterday I haven't read them, but several members of my family have and love them. Perhaps start at the library and if you like the first enough go and buy them. If you have a nook, there is a bundle deal going on for them at Barnes & Noble.
Comment by Trisha Brown yesterday I'm thinking about reading the Game of Thrones books. Has anyone on here read them? Do you think I should buy them?
Comment by Xyra Silverleaf on Monday The Host was always to be a trilogy, but the writing got sidetracked while Twilight movies were made. She is supposed to be back on track writing those two more books.
I agree...Midnight Sun would make loads more money for the publisher and everyone involved.
Comment by Julie K on Sunday
Comment by Xyra Silverleaf on Sunday I believe SM is working on the sequels to The Host and the Austenland movie with Sharon Hale.
Don't hold your breath for Midnight Sun...I'm thinking that's over and done.
For my own sanity I have forgotten that silly author's name. Not worth the memory space that can be used remembering my favorite mental Twilight pictures. ;-)

Comment by Xyra Silverleaf on May 8, 2013 at 12:24pm I recently found out that a popular YA author looks down on Twilight and its author. The interesting thing is that both authors are published by Little, Brown, and Company.
Comment by Xyra Silverleaf on February 12, 2013 at 7:15am Welcome back. Enjoy!

Comment by Doc B M.D. on November 18, 2012 at 4:48am Twilight as a meme: "The Nobel Vampire"
One definition of the word ""meme", is a work of art which is so influential that it alters the impression of a concept. In "The Twilight Saga" Stephany Meyer created a powerful new meme: "The Nobel Vampire" and in doing so she altered what we think of when we consider Vampires.
Question:
Part one: Can you think of examples (in currently popular books, movies, or TV) where other writers have adapted their characters to Stephanie Meyer's new "Nobel Monster?"
Part Two: How is Stephany's "Nobel Vampire" different from other "Good Beasts, in previous stories" ?
