I do have to say the Volturi were GREAT!!! Loved them! You are right Irene Alice--Aro was great, he captured Aro just as I would have pictured him!

Another positive note of the film: wasn't Michael Sheen brilliant as Aro. He totally captured the balance as he portrayed the creepy friendly scarry Aro.

Another site I looked into said the Alice Vision was originally a deleted scene that was actually a dream from Bella (that is what it was called in the Movie Companion Book---so it was taken out of context, but then everyone started speculating that they were dressed in outfits from Anne of Green Gables and Edward's period of time, and running like they did in BD when they went for Bella' first hunt.
Until I thought of those ideas, I thought it was strange, but after reading that, it made sense.
Just sharing some info!

it seems like everyone is in sync: it is a MUST see on DVD, alone, with a glass of vine, without people who haven't read the book or giggle... Cannot wait for DVD!!!!
I haven't heard about Breaking dawn, but i hope they'll make it before Rob will be impossible to pass for a 17-year old... even in this movie he looked older then your usual 17year old does...

I saw it last night (10.15 showing) and I have to say I think it was better than Twilight, I think they did include most of the key points from the book. I did enjoy the film but unfortunately there were some girls behind us who kept giggling. They giggle when any ofthe guys had their shirts off, during Alice's vision of Bella as a vampire and during the most romatic parts. So spoilt it a bit for me. Overall I did enjoy it though, nowhere near as good as the book but deffinately worth watching.

I agree with starzcc about Alice's vision... and NM is a step up from Twilight in terms of special effects and the scenery... my husband didn't read the book, and i was concerned that he wouldn't really get what was going on in the movie, but he seemed contemped and assured me that he understood everything which means a lot... I feel like i really need to see it again...Oh, also Rosalie didn't really looked like the most beautiful creature in the world (the way she's described in the book...) but i guess you can't help it

I hoped by the way that Edward would be playing the piano again. The meadow theme written by Alexandre Desplat is so beautifull. I totally imagined myself dreaming away listening to the music while Edward played the piano.

hmm. Im kinda confused about the complaints. The entire summer we knew that there was gonna b screaming and carrying on. I feel alot of nit picking goin on now but I guess thats always. I was more cocerned (as th general consensus was this past summer) That they would stay true to the book and I feel they did just that. If I were to complain about anything It would be the little alice and wonderland dress they put on Bella through Alices vision. ugh!! Feel they couldve done way better with that one she isnt supposed to recognize herself. That disappointed me but then I though hey at least they showed the vision and that was cool. Anyhoo ladies, let us remember the butcher job on twilight and thank Chris Wietz for repecting the twilight fans and staying true to our beloved book.

I went to the 12:50 showing in Nassau/Queens, and was waiting for the next show, when I saw a woman and her friend waiting. Sorry, there are no previews to Eclipse. That would have been choice, though!

Am new here! Just wanted to say, I waited until a 1pm showing on Friday---NO TEENS, NO SCREAMing!! Way BETTER w/o that!. If you can either try to go see it again, or lets hope it comes out REALLY soon on dvd!
Have a question---my daughter who hadn't see it it (but she is going today), said on our local radio station here (SoCal) were saying if you stayed through the ENTIRE CREDIT role--through the very last credit---there were previews to Eclipse...does anyone know if this is true?? I did not stay until the very last (who does?), so now I want to go again, just for that!!!! Anyone know if this is true?
