Please convey my well wishes to your parents. It must have been traumatic for them. :(

Thank you Pei!

Their house was a mobile home, and it was too old to insure, Thankfully they were not home when it started. When my dad drove up he saw flames in the kitchen window. They think it was an electrical short in the wall behind the stove. The fire stayed in the kitchen, but it got super hot in the rest of the house. Anything plastic melted, and there's smoke and soot on, and in, everything!

My parents are staying with us for now.

@ Kagey

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear this! Was the house insured? Are your parents all right? My heart goes out to you and your family! Be safe. Please take care.

My mom and dad's house burned Sunday. There's a lot to clean up! I found the boxes of pictures and momentos, like baby books and such, yesterday. Everything looks like it's made of pewter because of the soot everywhere. There's plastic waterfalls everywhere.

Hi, Kagey! ^^
That was so much fun! It was so sweet of your adult son to be there with you. When you get to share something that you really really enjoy with a loved one, it is a wonderful experience. ;)

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but I saw BD1 with my 25 year old son...twice so far. He didn't have any problems with it, or with me there. He loves the movie, and not just because he likes Twilight, but because it's well made, and he's very critical.

He was a little embarassed when I was talking to the Twi-Mums, but that's because it's not "cool" for a guy to like Twilight so he didn't like me talking about it with him there. What he really doesn't like is the fandom who are making a big deal about it. For some reason he includes me. ;-)

(There actually turned out to be plenty of guys, of all ages, there.)

Have any mums here seen BD1 with their teenage daughters? Were there moments of awkwardness?

Pei it's nice to know we're thinking about each other. It is a little bit like we are together. A first for me... I got to talk with other Twi-Mums while waiting in line! :-)

Not to give out any spoilers, but... It was a fantastic movie! I'm very much ready to see it again!

Not happening in real life but

In a way, it is also soothing to know that some friends are having a grand time at some theatres somewhere in the world, that I am not alone... ;)
