Wow Rosa, this is great! My little girl sleeps great through the night, and I'm pretty careful about get sugar intake, but who knows, I've seen her eating fudge cookies when I pick her up from daycare. But I did ask them to stop. I'm going to try a few of these. My little girl loves tea, so this should be fairly easy.

Makes perfect sense, Ash. She's been dubbed the bully at daycare, hitting and taking older kids food and toys...wow. With me she throws fits when she doesn't get her way, even sometimes throwing her weight backwards and slams her head onto the ground...ouch.

Ashleigh, the only thing you can do is work with her the best that you can. My littler one will be 2 in May and exhibits that behavior already. We are all here for each other to help. Love you.

Vampirella, o think the kids can always feel the tension. Looks like many of us have been there.

I was in an abusive and controlling relationship with the father of my children. I thought i'd hid it well from them but after we left him the change in them was magic. They are so much happier and outgoing. Even though they didnt see or hear anything they must have felt the atmosphere :(

Ashleigh, my daughter's father was was also very abusive towards me, so I understand completely. And I wouldn't trade my daughter for the world.

Hi Ashleigh. I, too, am a single mom. Though I only have one very difficult daughter who will be 2 in a few months, I can imagine how much you must be going through. Strength be wth you.

Ashleigh, I don't think there is anything harder in the world than what you are doing.  good luck to you and your children.  :)

Hi Rosa,

From your comment, it makes me think that you believe I am endorsing Amy Chua's parenting techniques.  No, I just thought it was an interesting book.  She was very strict indeed.  I saw Amy Chua on The Colbert Report and even She said she was too strict and that her methods did not work on every child and she would Not endorse the methods she used on every child.  She cited the problems she had with her own child as proof that they do not work on everyone.  I only recommended the book because I thought it was an entertaining read and thought others might like to see differing parenting styles.  Does that make sense?

Thanks,

pat  :)
