"Hey, what's your fav Jane Austen novel?
Made is Pride and Prejudice.
Have you read bleakhouse? I am almost finished it. Probably 100 pages from the end- it is after all about a 800 to 900 page book. But the sad part is that I started reading it…"
Well, I'm not the typical Twilight fan. I'm 26 years, father of 2 little girls, 3 years and 1 year old, and currently going through a divorce. I love to read and to be honest, didn't think I would like the Twilight books. However, I needed something to take my mind off the divorce and what my wife has done, so I read them. They have been able to keep my mind from constantly wandering toward the topic of the divorce. I've always loved Sci Fi and Fantasy and I love vampire novels. The fact that this one appeals more to younger, typically female readers, turned me off at first. But I have to say, I truly enjoyed the Twilight Saga. And am thankful to it for helping to keep me sane through a devastating and painful period in my life.
When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
I read the first Twilight Book a few days before Valentines day, 2009. My wife told me she cheated on me with 2 different people, about a week before Christmas 2008. She moved in with the last guy she cheated on me with in late January. I'd been pretty much taking care of our 2 daughters by myself since then and was having trouble finding anything to keep my mind on track and not falling into a depression. A friend reccomended the Twilight Saga books. I reluctantly agreed and started the first one on Valentines Day. I wasn't sure how I would like a romance novel right now, even if it did have vampires in it. I didn't feel very romantic at the time. heh. But, since I opened to the first page, I fell head first into the Twilight world. I've read all 4 books 3 times now, typically reading all 4 in about 5 to 6 days. Anything to keep myself upbeat for my girls.
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
Team Edward, though obviously from a guy's point of view. I'm a lot like Edward, personality-wise and I'm old fashioned. Jacob just annoyed me.
Which Character Are You Most Like?
I'm a cross between Edward and Carlisle. I'd say...80% Edward and 20% Carlisle.
I include the Twilight Books now. I like Mark Twain, Dickens, Mary Shelley, Jane Austen, E.A. Freeman, some new authors. Any books by Robin Hobb, Mercedes Lackey, Orson Scott Card and Raymond E. Feist.
