Alison Shmalison replied to Alison Shmalison's discussion Can Edward Cullen lie straight in bed?

Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
I have never seen any of the Twilight movies. I am a Twilight Saga book purist. Plus I only have access to a dodgy, burned copy of the first movie from Bali - and to watch that would just not be ethical, would it?

Sorry-I don't follow you. What doesn't matter if you're in another country (I was refering to you stating your anti-abortion beliefs on my sister's discussion, in the group Jr. Politicians)

So you're a painter! That's great, I don't really have an artistic bone in my body. Seriously, like stick people is as far as my talent goes and even some of those turn out kinda wonky, lol! I won't do a PhD because the MFA is a terminal degree in my field. If I'd done a regular MA in English I would do the PhD, but there isn't any higher degree for writing, at least not here in the States.
So do you work as an artist or are you like me, doing something else entirely than what your degree is for? What kind of painting do you do?
At 2:27pm on May 2, 2010, ShannonP said…
Hi Alison,
The MFA is a Master of Fine Arts. It's a type of Master's degree, but with a tighter focus--in this case, a focus on writing.
I think it's interesting that you haven't seen the movies. Do you think you will ever be interested in seeing them? There are several differences between the films and the books--I prefer the books, because there is so much more detail and development than the films show.
