Something I wrote called "Walking Down a Corridor"
"I'm walking down a corridor, trying to find the right door. The door with you behind it, the one that saves my day. Because every door I open, just gets slammed into my face. Should I turn back and give up, or should i keep going? Are you worth all the pain I've been through, or are you just going to cause me more? These are all the doubts that keep running through my head as i stand there in the middle of the hall. Just after another door, with a fake behind it, was slammed on me. My courage is falling, and my heart is breaking. People wonder why i keep my heart locked, now they know why. But just in case you are blind, I keep it locked so that when a door is slammed in my face it doesn't hurt as much. People look at me and say she's tough let's see how tough she is, the only thing they don't know is that I have feelings too, and that when I'm alone they all hit me like a tidal wave, and I come crashing down. I have no one to help me get up, so here I am again, in the corridor trying to figure out if you are worth me getting hurt or not."
