- I didn't want to go off topic since that discussion was about a scene in New Moon. But I do know what you mean about kids that young who are into things that have a stronger nature. Shows like South Park seem to be conditioning children to have a casual attitude towards things like violence and obscene behavior. They have to first learn that a show like that is doing that in humor. And there are video games like Grand Theft Auto. My friend Steve, who is older, actually once said that when he drives his car he wishes he could drive around randomly and run into things because the game is so realistic to him.
And when Twilight readers that young get a little older and form a dating relationship with someone, it should be explained to them that it's a serious and special thing to be involved in. It's not a pretend Twilight thing. It may be that they should learn about that sort of thing before reading a fantasy version of it.
