When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
I read the complete saga at least twice. This, of course, does not include the readings of my favorite books and sections of books over and over. I remember way back when, someone posted and asked if our Twilight books looked like hers. Her books had colored post-its all over it. I fell down laughing with that one. Yes, my home set looked exactly like that! Responses also included those members that had characters color coded. Brilliant!
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
Most definitely Team Edward. I’ve always preferred vampires.
The real question for me is Edward or Rob? It’s all in the fantasy of this near perfect dude. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore Rob Pattinson and kind of stalked him once when he was in NYC filming “Remember Me” but don’t really have the desire to pursue a 23 year old male who is being chased around the world by faster teenagers. Not that energetic. Not that confidant. This all holds true provided I don’t really ever get a change to meet him in person for any extended period of time.
Which Character Are You Most Like?
Clumsy, completely no confidence, possibly a protective shield…
The complete Twilight Saga including MS (which I know I shouldn’t speak of out loud). My favorite of the five are Twilight and MS, partially because they lead to the others. Maybe on my third complete reading, I will change my mind.
I suppose if you twisted my arm, dunked my head in a vat of water, and asked me about my pre-Twilight existence which I don’t remember well, I’d have to say for pleasure reading, I loved Steven King, Dean Koonz, Alice Walker. I was an English major in school, about a century ago, and spent lots of time reading. It took me well over a year to pick up even a magazine after that torture. It took a few years after that for me to even consider reading an actual book.
What is Your Favorite Music
Twilight Soundtrack, Twilight Score (Carter Burell), New Moon Soundtrack, and various artists (Muse, Paramore, The Black Ghosts, Linkin Park, Robert Pattinson, Death Cab for Cutie, Band of Skulls, Thom York, etc.)
I had given up on current music a long time ago. Previously, music in general used to be a very emotionally charged experience for me. The right song could (and still does) make me bawl like a baby. Two things changed all of that. 1) Being technologically challenged, I could not figure out how to pre-program the radio station on my new receiver when that was all you could purchase, and 2) The introduction of rap and hip hop music into my world. My step-daughter, nieces, and nephews loved this music (they tell me the two are different although they sound exactly the same to me). So I stuck to my pretty much everything Motown, ABBA, Hall & Oates, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Beatles, Bowie and my other old faithfuls. Prior to Twilight, last album I bought was probably Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” and prior to that I could not tell you.
I bought the Twilight soundtrack and score initially only for Bella’s Lullabye which I loved. Completely fell in intense love of most of the tracks (the same for New Moon later) and now I feel that a whole new world of current music has been opened or re-opened for me.
Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
Twilight Saga et al rules in all. As for my pre-bitten stage…I guess Trueblood and Moonlight. Big Movie/TV buff here so favorite at this moment in time that I can think of:
Comedy: Tyler Perry anything; Sinbad, anything, Adam Sandler, almost anything, How to Be (Rob Pattinson), Fright Night
Action Pact: Heroes (Lee), the Rock
Drama: Dances with Wolves, the Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption
Scary Thing: Pet Sematary, Part 2, Ghost Story (Nicole Kidman), the Omen, the Exorcist
Pretty much whenever Edward opens his mouth.
Aside from that, pretty much everything else.
I use the following lines a lot now: "I don't care" (Bella to Edward in movie during conversation when he tells here he's killed before) and "Good luck with that," Charlie to Edward after Edward says he's taking Bella to play baseball with his family
Reading, watching movies, going to the beach, spending time with family, spending time with Sprakly Twi-Sises!
