I certainly agree that it is in Edward's nature to be protective of his family and friends. (As Lonnie 'the serial molester and creep' discovered when his plan to have his gang molest and then kill Bella was thwarted by Edward's arrival.
Is tormented about the question of good and evil. I think that that question torments all of us. But as we learn at the end of the saga Edward is a very sensitive and caring man (EC,Q: "I think of you as a brother") and I feel that the fact that he had killed to feed and constantly is tempted to eat the woman he adores keeps him in a state of anguish. (Jasper,Q: "It would be nice not to constantly not want to eat you anymore..("Because I love you.."" not said but implied)
You say, "Clingy" WHAT a GREAT point. Yes Edward is constantly clinging on Bella.
That is what makes their relationship so obsessive. He constantly clings onto her and she is TOTALLY enamored with him. (A WONDERFUL QUESTION TO DISCUSS)
You make a great point. In the human world everyone seems to be so hung up on appearance. But like Bella, that isn't so in the Vampire world. (EC to AH, Q; "She has always been dazzelingly beautiful!"
