Debbie Hendrix commented on aroiscreepy's group Jasper Fan Club!!!
"I totally agree that Jasper is hot! If he was a real baseball player, he'd fill the stadiums! I hope we see a lot more of him. Alice is a lucky vampire."

Debbie Hendrix commented on Hachette Book Group's blog post DAKOTA FANNING CONFIRMED FOR NEW MOON!
"I think she will be perfect for the part. She's played so many cute childish parts that I think we are ready to see the dark side of her. I think she will be an excellent villain. And that voice....perfect!"

"Happy Birthday! I love your picture- what a gorgeous dog- he/she looks like a white wolf! What a beautiful image- it reminds me of "and the lion fell in love with the lamb"- such a lovely, gentle and peaceful picture. Thanks for sharing it…"

Five Things Everyone Should Know About You?
I'm a Nurse Practitioner
I love emergencies and trauma (blood and guts)
I'm happily married to my best friend, Dr. Steve
I have all four legged children- 4 cats, 2 dogs
I'm into letterboxing, beading, crafts, and playing piano.
When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
I'm a newby- was just introduced my a coworker- same one who introduced me to Harry Potter 3 years ago. She said this series was "one hundred million times better" than Harry Potter...of course I was interested :)
I'm just finishing #2 and haven't seen the movie yet. I like to have characters and images in my head first before I see other people's interpretations. Also I've stopped using the insult "Bite me!"- kinda gives me a new perspective on the phrase.
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
Tough one. This is like being called a "cat person" or a "dog person". I love both but I would say Jacob. Although Edward has the emotional qualities I would love to find in a man, Jacob has the physical warmth. I can't imagine holding onto granite. And with my love of blood and gore....
Which Character Are You Most Like?
Definitely NOT Bella- she's a bit spoiled and reckless. And a bit of a prude- all those opportunities to have a physical relationship with Edward and Jacob wasted. Pity. I was 17 once myself and now at 42, I'd love to "have me some of that" if it were available..... :) I'd have to say I'm most like Jacob, a protector.
Favorite Books
My all time favorite which I read for the first time in 1977 was "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton. The movie, although it projected most of the cast into stardom, did it no justice. I was disappointed when I saw it in 1983 (or was it "82?). Harry Potter is up there too.
Most of my reading has to do with emergency medicine and all the required continuing medical education- sigh... but I do enjoy a thriller such as Patricia Cromwell or the late great Michael Crichton. And since I have an hour + drive to work daily, books on tape are great!!!!
What is Your Favorite Music
I'm an old hair rock groupy from the 80s- Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Poison... There is no better music as far as I'm concerned. I miss the big hair and makeup on guys- sigh. I even go for mullets!
I also like country, classical, and instrumental relaxation music.
Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
I loved the "Back to the Future" trio, anything Star Trek from the original series to Deep Space (haven't warmed up yet to "Enterprise), Titanic , "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, the old original Battlestar Galactica-so what if it was cheesy, it was the 70s. For games I love "myst"-like computer games where you walk through beautiful scenery and solve puzzles. I also like ones like Diablo where you splatter the evil dead (blood and guts again...but I don't have to sew them back together!!!). I also like board games like Scrabble and Boggle, computer games like Ma Jung (something like that) and of course solitare and mine sweeper.
I do watch American Idol but the talent pool is getting shallow...
Favorite Quotes:
"Two roads diverged in a wood... I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference..." Robert Frost

"If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching, or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain".... Emily Dickenson

...I wanna lay you down in a bed of roses...for tonight I sleep on a bed of nails......." Bon Jovi

"Love's bringing me to my knees...Love lives, love's no surprise...Love begs, love pleads........It's what I need.." Def Leppard

"Love stinks...yeah, stinks".....J Giles Band

Love hurts, love scars, love wounds almost, any heart
Not tough or strong enough
To take a lot of pain, take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud holds a lot of rain
Love hurts......ooh,ooh love hurts........Nazareth
Favorite Activities
Listening or playing music- trying to learn to play bass (bass rocks!), guitar hero, sodoku, rubics cube (best time is 45 seconds...of course this was in 1982. I'm not so nimble anymore). Listening to my husband talk about cars (blah blah blah Mustang, blah blah blah Cobra convertible, ......)
