Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.
Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.--Lord of the Rings :)
"I felt silly, asking for clarification on make-believe."--Bella, Twilight
"What happens to Edward? Are there gunna be mummies?"--Ernest ;)
"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in
my heart). I am never without it (anywhere
I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)
I want no world (for beautiful, you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you"--E.E. Cummings
"Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved."--Shakespeare.
Jim Halpert: There are other reasons to go to Ohio--
Pam Beesly: We're getting married today!
Jim Halpert: So it turns out it's the closest place to get a marriage
license without a three day waiting period.
Pam Beesly: Tell 'em how it happened.
Jim Halpert: Ok so we're going through all the wedding plans and boy, it is complicated--
Pam Beesly: And very expensive.
Jim Halpert: Very expensive! 'Cause you say you want a small wedding and that's great, but then you have to invite--
Pam Beesly: You can't leave anyone out.
Jim Halpert: No one!
Pam Beesly: Ok just get to the good part.
Jim Halpert: Right. Oh! So this morning, we are having breakfast together... and I just looked up from my cereal and I said, "you know what I wanna do today? I wanna marry you."
Pam Beesly: I had just woken up. I didn't look cute. That's how I knew he meant it.
"You know sometimes, to get perspective, I like to think about a spaceman on a star incredibly far away. And our problems don't matter to him because we're just a distant point of light. But he feels sorry for me, because he has an incredibly powerful microscope, and he can see my face. [waves to the sky] I'm okay! No I'm not."--Michael Scott
"When I saw you I fell in love, And you smiled because you knew."--Shakespeare
"Bad men are full of repentance."--Aristotle
"I was like a lost moon- my planet destroyed in some cataclysmic, disaster-movie scenario of desolation- that continued, nevertheless, to circle in a tight little orbit around the empty space left behind, ignoring the laws of gravity." -Bella, New Moon
"Haha! Will do. LC told me about Life As We Knew It but I wasn't too interested in it. And yeah, I like stories better when the main character is female. Can't really relate that well to a man's emotions and thoughts haha!
"Really? Man, I think that would have been even better if she had a battle. She could've just kept the main ppl alive lol. And I was actually shocked that Fire lost her fingers! The author really doesn't mind having her characters hurt lol!…"
"Yeah, I thought Dabria would too. But yeah I'm reading it. Still on the second book. I can't believe I almost didn't finish em. It's a really good story, not as good as the hunger games but still cool. Lol."
"Haha! It just gets so much better.
He IS kinda similar to Damon Salvatore. Wow. Do you like Patch? Have you gotten scared yet? Lol. I think I'd feel stupid if I were the only one to have gotten scared reading it haha!"
"Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem…"
"Katsa has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was eight—she’s a Graceling, one of the rare people in her land born with an extreme skill. As niece of the king, she should be able to live a life of privilege, but…"
