It took me a while to come to terms with my name. As a child I didn't like it because I was the only one in my town (I come from a very small town). But as I got older, I came to appreciate how unused it was :) I wonder if the shortened version as a name is getting more use b/c of the release of the Mummy movies?
It too is short for Evelyn. There aren't too many of us out there :) My husband's nickname for me. I have another nickname too, Ebbie. When my cousins were born, my grandmother thought B's would be easier to say than V's.
