"Haven't seen the trailer; however, it was clear to me in the book that Aro and his murdering maniacs would not forget about the Cullens. Aro felt he was outnumbered and his secret weapons (the "witch twins") had…"

Profile Information

Five Things Everyone Should Know About You?
1. I wrote technical articles and manuals for the Air Force
(retired as a Major in 1988).
2. I taught Psychology and Sociology for McMurry University
and Chemical Dependency Counseling for Cisco College.
3. I served as a Psychologist for the Texas Department of
Criminal Justice, retiring early to care for my elderly mother
upon the death of my father at age 90.
4. I wrote a book on treatments for Attention Deficit Disorder.
5. I wrote an Adult Vampire Book, "Immortal Relations" available on AMAZON and AMAZON-KINDLE
favorite author.
When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
My grown daughter introduced me to the books in late 2009 and I have read "Twilight" twice, "New Moon" twice and Eclipse four times. I read "Breaking Dawn" four times and "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" once. I did not think I'd find a book I enjoyed more than "Breaking Dawn" but when I read the unauthorized released "Midnight Sun" I fell in love with it as it added so much to the Twilight Series! I look forward to the authorized version when it is released! I have puchased some of the Twilight Series books for my granddaughter and she loves Taylor Lautner!
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
Team Edward. While both characters are compelling and I loved the selflessness of Jacob, Edward is, after all, one of the two primary characters. His anguish in trying to do the right thing rather than giving in to "the monster" is riviting and his pain and sacrifice just draws me to him! When I found out about the unauthorized release of the draft of "Midnight Son", I was sorry that it happened to the author but I found myself relating to Edward's character even more than I had before!
Which Character Are You Most Like?
The Native American in me wants to say "the spirit warrior", Billy Black, but in reality I am probably closer to being Chief Swan but without the drinking.
Favorite Books
I just had my ADULT BOOK, "IMMORTAL RELATIONS" published so it has to be #1, but I also love the Twilight Series. I read "The Hobbit", "The Fellowship of the Rings", The "Two Towers" and "The Return of the King" until the bindings fell apart - guess that is the romantic in me! Not to be out done, my military side still enjoys the books by Tom Clancy, especially his trilogy "Debt of Honor", " Executive Decisions" and "The Bear and the Dragon"! "Sum of All Fears" is another favorite of his works (not the movie - it didn't follow the book's plot )!
What is Your Favorite Music
I love "Bella's Theme", "Clair de Lune" (I was happy to hear that Debussy's lovely song was in two of the films). Most of the classics as well many of the songs of the 50's, 60's, 70's & 80's, including much of the rock and roll! I'm not a fan of the current "Gangsta' Rap" that denigrates women & others!
Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
"24" was my favorite when it was on (I even bought a couple of the seasonal series of shows). "MI-5" on BBC America is another of my current favorites, I'm starting to watch "Being Human" but don't know if I'd call it a favorite television show just yet. My wife and I watch some of the "Iron Chef" shows together. Favorite Movies (duh again?) "Twilight", "New Moon" and "Eclipse" so far (I'm certain both parts of "Breaking Dawn" will meet the critieria as well)! The fims of J. R. R. Tolkien's trilogy are also among my faviorites.
Favorite Quotes:
"If anyone, then, asks me the meaning of our flag, I say to him - it means just what Concord and Lexington meant; what Bunker Hill meant; which was, in short, the rising up of a valiant young people against an old tyranny to establish the most momentous doctrine that the world had ever known - the right of men to their own selves and to their liberties"
-Henry Ward Beecher-
Favorite Activities
Long distance running along with riding motorcycles with my wife (we each had our own BMW Motorcycles) was a favorite in my younger days; however, I'm no longer able to do either of them because of arthritis. My wife and I now enjoy the simple pleasures of going out to eat, to the movies and watching television together. We also enjoy visiting our children when we can and seeing the grand children as well as driving our two collector cars in parades and to car shows.

I've read that Stephenie Meyer is going to finish and release "Midnight Son" (not sure if the title will be the same), a draft of which was unfortunately put on the internet without her permission. Having read the material in that draft, I of course feel very sorry that it was improperly released; however, I found it explained the depths of Edward's "soul" (yes, I believe he has one) in ways that it probably could not have been without "slowing down" the first book "Twilight". Perhaps, my… Continue
