"Hi Jessica! I can't remember, but someone did a fan fic on Lilith on facfiction.net from this site. It was only 3 chapters but it wasn't done and it was good. Can't remember if it was you or not. Does it ring a bell?"
"I just realized I should leave a comment again, since you lost the last one, and you're short on repeats. (Like me!) So here goes with some random thoughts...
I love Ginny's writing desk! I would love to have one just like it. If you…"
Married mom of 4 wonderful biological kids (ages 10, 8 & 5 yr odl twins) & 2 awesome foster kids(10 & 8); US citizen living in Costa Rica, land of Pura Vida & everything comes next week; aspiring writer, experienced editor & proofreader & completely OCD regarding language; love to cook and read; introverted/family oriented.
When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
This year (2009). Saw the movie first (I live in Costa Rica, we're a bit behind, ok, sorry!), which intrigued me to read the book. Read the book in 1 night, then went back and bought the other 3, which I read within 4 days. Since then have read all 4 books so many times the covers are falling off and they're pathetic-looking. God knows they provide me with a break from kiddie-patrol duty. I know they're not the best-written books ever, but it's fun. I have my Twi-crack, my husband his his WoW-crack. So there.
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
Team Edward! Because he's the embodiment of the perfect man to me: gorgeous, charismatic, strong, sensitive but masculine, chivalrous, intelligent, talented, and passionate! Jacob's great too, but Edward's just perfect. That said, I'm NOT a Robert Pattinson devotee, nice-looking guy and all, but he is not the character embodied. No squee-ing here.
BUT...If I were to have my pick of the Cullen Boyz, my pick wuold be Jasper. I mean, seriously. Tall, mysterious, Texan, and he can make you feel... anything...Sigh...
Which Character Are You Most Like?
Honestly, not trying to build myself up here, but Bella pre-vampire is closest to me, as far as personality traits & foibles. I am very self-sacrificing and sensitive, constant reader, sometimes make bad decisions (esp. in the name of luuurve...), somewhat clumsy, introverted, don't really care too much for fashion and society. As far as how I am with others, I'm like Esme, because I'm a mom, and very devoted to my family, always doing things to make their lives more comfortable & enjoyable.
Currently on the mountain beside my bed & on the shelf: Twilight series, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, older fantasy and sci-fi (David Eddings--rest in peace!--, Anne McCaffrey, Terry Jordan, Alan Dean Foster, Piers Anthony, etc.), crime & spy-thriller drama thanks to my husband (The Afghan was a good read), Stephen King's older stuff, esp. The Stand, White Oleander, Khaled Hoseini's "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns", Chronicles of Narnia, anything by Madeleine L'Engle & Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein, Jean M. Auel, Orson Scott Card, Carl Sagan (Dragons of Eden and Contact), Robin McKinley (the Blue Sword books rock!!!!), Arthur C. Clarke
What is Your Favorite Music
love just about everything. Classical & opera (love Pachelbel's Canon in D, memories of my wedding, ah), Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff, Tchaichovsky,Beethoven, Mozart), Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, soundrracks (Mortal Kombat, Last of the Mohicans, and Toys are on my ipod right now), my modern faves are Linkin Park, Nickelback, White Stripes, Fall Out Boy, "oldies" (Led Zeppelin, Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis/Phil Collins/Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Police/Sting, Beatles, Prince, Duran Duran, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Paul Simon, etc.), Metallica, British popular/progressive (Oasis, Coldplay, Keane, Muse), Chick music (Alanis Morissette, Sarah McLachlan, Pink, Avril Lavigne, Dido, Lily Allen), Chris Cornell (in all his permutations!), Staind, 90's alternative (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, STP, etc.), even some country and a little bit of R&B but not much rap (I have a sick liking for Justin Timberlake...sorry!!!) New adds: Flyleaf, Paramore, All American Rejects, 30 Seconds to Mars, Shinedown, and Kings of Leon!
Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
Movies: What have I seen recently, meaning in the last year or so, I rarely watch tv anymore...Star Wars original trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Transformers 1 & 2, Twilight, Heathers, Blow, Scarface, The Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Rob Roy, Vatel, Dangerous Liaisons, Immortal Beloved, Amadeus, (get the feeling I love period pieces??), Ocean's 11 & 13 (the 2nd one kinda sucked), There's Something About Mary, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Tommy Boy, 2001 series, Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings movies, X-Men movies, the new Star Trek, Narnia movies, Legend, Labyrinth, the Dark Crystal, the Last Unicorn, and I hate how I can never think of movies when I need to list them...;TV: reality (DWTS esp.), ER, CSI(all of them), Big Bang Theory, 2 and a half Men. Hate computer games, but my husband is an avid World of Warcraft player, so any other WoW Widows out there??? I do play a mean hand of Texas Hold 'Em, though, & can't be beat at Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash & Scattergories
"There is no situation that cannot be solved by the proper application of high-powered explosives." No idea who said it first, but my husband says it best, sick puppy!
"That which does not kill you makes you stronger."
"There is nothing new under the sun."
"God is in the details."
Cooking, reading, surfing the web, drawing/painting, listening to music, playing with my kids, talking with my husband, cleaning, vegging in front of the tv, astronomy, Working on writing a prequel to the Twilight books, based on the origin of the vampires and the story of the Romanians vs the Volturi, and some new stuff about Alice. Also, working on non-Twilight-related stuff, using Twi fan fic to help me work on character development & other things while enjoying my Twi-crack habit. Hi Jessica! I can't remember, but someone did a fan fic on Lilith on facfiction.net from this site. It was only 3 chapters but it wasn't done and it was good. Can't remember if it was you or not. Does it ring a bell?
Hello! I'm a (kind of) new reader and I absoloutely love your writing. I read everything- The Long Road Home and Wind Whispers and The Ribbon and The Mother. I think you are an amazing writer, but there is one thing I don't like- none of your stories are being continued! When will you continue them all? I miss Alice and Jasper traveling all over, and Ginny's free spirit, and Didyme, and Lilith and eveybody! Please write more!
I'm so sorry that you have such troubles.
I'm glad you are still able to share your talent with us.
I've got the first link in my bookmarks already.
I would like to read your stories on the 18+ site. I have been 18...for a while. lol
