(1) I LOVE animals. I am such a sap for animals of all kinds. I have four cats because I couldn't turn them away when asked if I could care for them. I see a stray cat and wish there was something I could do. I live by a canal and feed the turtles nearly every day. I put out three bird feeders in the back yard.
(2) I am a certified SCUBA diver. I got certified a few summers ago and I love being in the water. I have my own equipment, but rarely get a chance to go.
(3) When it comes to books, I am a kid at heart. I love reading young adult novels, such as Harry Potter and Twilight. I like adult books too, that are more set in reality, but something about escaping into a fantasy world is very appealing to me. Probably because my life is so boring.
(4) I watch probably 10 movies a week. I get Netflix and I always keep my queue filled with all the new movies I didn't get to see while in the theater.
(5) I could sit out on the deck all day and watch the water. The turtles and fish are always calming to watch and in the evening, the sun sets across the pond from where I sit, and it's just beautiful with the silouette of the palm trees reflecting off the water.
When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
I first read the Twilight series in December 2008, when the movie was already in the theaters. I am a "got-to-read-the-book-before-I-see-the-movie" type person. My mother and her friend each purchased two of the books to complete the set in October when they came down to visit me in Florida from New Hampshire. My mother's friend (and her own daughter) took them home first. They both read them all in less than a week. Then my mother got them. I flew home to celebrate Christmas with my family. Mom had only gotten half-way through Twilight in the two months she had the books (she is a very busy woman). I decided that I couldn't wait anymore when I yanked them from her because she was taking too long. I read Twilight in the car on a road trip from New Hampshire to Florida, where I live. My father and stepmother were visiting me and offered to drive me so save plane fare. I read the whole book during to 20-hour car ride home. A few days later, the three of us saw the film in the theater. Then I read the final three books in the next four days. I have since reread the entire series, so I have read each book twice so far.
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
Team Edward. Because he is the embodiment of true love. He is willing to die for her, and willing to let her go if it will save her life. He is willing to let her go and choose Jacob over him if that's what will make her happiest. He is unselfish in that way. He is willing to hurt himself emotionally if it is what is best for Bella.
Jacob's love is more selfish. He does truly care about Bella and doesn't want her to be in pain physically or emotionally... however he would rather see her with himself than with Edward, even though it is Edwards with whom she is truly happy.
Which Character Are You Most Like?
Angela Weber. Angela is a true friend without her own agenda. She is there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on, but she also knows when to give you space if you need it.She is not petty and is not for want.
I am obsessed with Harry Potter books. Now that the series is over and there are no books to wait obsessively for... now I sit in wait for the final three movies. I was disappointed they bumped the release date for Half-Blood Prince. It was originally supposed to open in November, but they pushed it to this coming July. They claimed the writer's strike had something to do about it, and also they thought that ticket sales would be better in the summer, not so close to Christmas in this bad economy. But personally, I think the real reason they didn't want to release the movie in Novermber? They didn't want to compete with Twilight sales. In retrospect, and the since Twilight Phenomena that ensued... that was probably a great decision.
Other than being an HP fan, I really enjoy Michael Crichton books. He is my favorite author. I was sad when he died in recent months.
What is Your Favorite Music
I pretty much like anything I can sing the words to, except county and rap. My favorite bands include: Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Beatles, Pink Floyd, U2, Nickelback, Matchbox 20, Daughtry, David Cook. There are tons of songs I like from other bands, but I wouldn't necessarily say that those bands are faves.
Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
Wow, there are so many movies I love. The Harry Potter movies, of course... but also I am a fan of Drew Barrymore, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, , Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Hugh Jackman, and Jude Law. A ton more, but those are the big ones.
TV shows I watch on a regular basis: Desperate Housewives, House, Heroes, Medium, American Idol, Life on Mars, Pushing Daisies, Grey's Anatomy, Smallville, Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, and NUMB3RS.
"It is not our abilities that makes us who we are, it is our choices" Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling."
Books and Movies, of course... but besides that. I love to SCUBA dive. I became certified a couple years ago. I also like boating, but my boat is still in NH until I can find a place to store it in FL.
"I am glad you enjoyed it. I haven't written anything new on this in obviously over a year. I really just wanted to get past the meadow scene and then once I did, I just kind of got involved with other things. I was really…"
"Will code this when I get a sec...
Bella was still sound asleep when I arrived. I did not disturb her slumber by climbing back into bed with her. I decided to prove my patience and allow her to wake up naturally. Charlie had awoken shortly after…"
I am so glad you've decided to come back to this! I've been checking back every month or so to see if you've posted anything new... and I can't tell you how excited I am that you plan on writing more. I can't…"
