I stepped onto the tiled floor of the dark kitchen, flicked on the dim orange light, and made my way to the sink. I lifted the faucet and in a flicker of a moment, filtered water started splashing out. I opened the cupboard and grabbed a small ceramic cup, a coffee cup, and filled it half way with water.
