- twilight - Never thought a lot about how he would die - though in recent months had reasonable grounds for that - but even if he had thought would never have thought it would. I stared without breathing across the great hall, in the dark eyes of the hunter, and he returned my look happy. It was definitely a good way to die, instead of someone else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That should count for something. I knew that if he had never gone to Forks, now would not be facing death.

- new moon - It seemed like I was trapped in one of those terrifying nightmares in which you need to run, run till your lungs burst, but can't move fast enough. My legs struggled to cross the thoughtless crowd, but the clock weren't slow. With an implacable force, inexorably approaching the end - the end of everything. But this was not a dream, and, unlike the nightmare, I was not running to save my life, I ran to save something infinitely more precious. Today my own life meant little to me.

- eclipse - Bella, yes I miss you too. Much. Does not change anything. Sorry. Jacob. I ran my fingers the sheet of paper, feeling the marks where he pressed the pen so that almost tore. I could picture him writing this - scrawling the angry letters in his handwriting rude, crossing the line after line when the words came out wrong, maybe even breaking a pencil in his hand too much, that would explain the ink stains. I could imagine the frustration uniting their black eyebrows and wrinkling his forehead. If I were there, might even laugh. Do not have a stroke so Jacob, I would have told him. just put out.

- breaking dawn - No one's looking at you, I assured myself. Nobody's looking at you. Nobody's looking at you. Because I could not lie convincingly even to myself, I had to check. While waiting for one of the three traffic lights of the city opened, I looked right - the minivan, Mrs. Weber had turned over the body for me. Her eyes bored into mine, and I shrugged, wondering why she looked away or showed embarrassment. It was still considered rude to stare at people, was not it? This does not apply to me anymore?
