Yes yes, Count of Monte Cristo is fabulous. A bit hard to get into because the length can get intimidating, but once you're in, time flies and you're hooked.
Confiscated a Harry Potter book? Le gasp! That's an awful thing to do. Ah, ever since I got a kindle, I've grown sneaky though. Count of Monte Cristo > Math.
Yes yes, I totally agree. Florence is fabulous, too. Girl With One Eye is my current favorite.
I read Dorian a year or so ago and couldn't put it down. I had teachers getting REALLY mad at me for reading during class, hahaha. There's also a really good movie adaptation starring Ben Barnes which is divine to watch.

Might I tell you I love your taste in books, movies and music? Dorian Gray, Regina Spektor and Sweeney Todd are some of the best cures for boredom.
