My heart thudded. Nothing mattered anymore but him.
I raced out of the hospital and into the trees, an earsplitting howl exploding into the air. Was that me?
I looked down, stunned to see paws, not feet, pushing me forward. That was weird...
My paws pounded against the ground... 1,2,3,4... 1,2,3,4. Today was the start of my long life.
I couldn't cope with the human emotions that came from losing Edward. The wolf emotions were easier to deal with.
