Ever since my first year at Hogwarts it had always been the same, every time I saw Harry, he would smile at me kindly, like you would at a child who had done something stupid without even realizing it.
I knew I deserved it, after all I was younger than him, and he had done so much more. He had even saved my life after I had been stupid enough to be possessed by You-Know-Who, but still, I felt that he could at least lighten up a bit, try and see past what he remembered of me.
I went out that night trying to be brave, so that maybe he would notice me, notice that I was more than that little girl that he had rescued four years ago, but instead I became involved in a family of vampires…vampires who were my cousins.
I'll post chapters every Monday starting next week, I have a very busy schedule but I'm going to try to get a chapter up every week :)

I saw my father whisper something to my mother, and her face showed the emotion of horror. "I'm so sorry to interrupt, but Renesmee could I have a word with you?" my father said, his voice clear and calm. I turned to Rachel, "One sec." and walked to my father, he walked, with Alice and my mother, trailing not far behind to the library. "You have to have that girl here. As much as possible." my father said, not bothering to stop walking before he began talking.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Her father abuses her." he said, his voice thick with acid.
My face went blank, and I felt so sorry for the girl I barely knew.
"I know, I know. You must become well acquainted with her. I don't know, but I will speak to Carlisle. He abuses her physically and sexually. She’s scared to death to go home, but more worried that if she didn't come home he would come find her. She's covered in bruises." My father said.
I practically fell to my knees. I restrained myself. 'Oh no, no, no. Not her. Why.' was my incoherent thoughts. They made no sense.
