"Hello Ladies...I might be the newest member and grats on 1800!~but since my entrances have never been that auspicious, I doubt it. I'm probably the 1799th. :D
Looking at the Remember Me poster and article I only have this to say:
"I tried to find something on the net about this story to lend heft to my opinion but, alas...nothing was there. If "Ms Cushman" has a first name, I might find her and do a search on the articles written by her and then will be able to…"
"Its the press who does these things..like referring to Taylor L and Taylor S as Taysquared, Brad and Angelina as Brangelina and the like. We should put ourselves above what the press does to make our favorite actors miserable and generic. It's…"
"Edward is almost right...he's got the song right before the one you mean....but the song you're thinking of is when Victoria is at the window and then starts down the stairs. That is Radiohead doing 15 Steps. ;)"
Oregon is and always will be my home.
One of the reasons I read is because I want to write.
Give me a book and I'm happy.
I believe in Vampires. Especially now. ;)
When Did You First Read Twilight (year) and how many times have you read a Twilight Book (total)?
First read: November 11th, '09
Series: 4 times. Constantly editing this number...not done.
Movie Twilight: 15, at least.
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Why?
I prefer Edward if it matters, which I don't believe it does. I"m actually more interested in Bella and her reaction to Edward, since I like him so much. It amazes me; her maturity but she still can't escape her body's reaction to him. What the whole story does is it takes me back to when I was a junior in HS. Those feelings are refreshed and close again. Yeah. It's fun.
Which Character Are You Most Like?
Angela. The one who gets lost in the crowd around more attractive and outgoing people but who holds everyone else's interest and well-being at heart.
Brain Storm by Richard Dooling
Cryptonomicon, Neal Stephenson
One Door Away From Heaven, Dean Koontz
To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee
A lot of the classics by Dickens, Faulkner, and silly things like the Stephanie Plum series by Evanovich. I don't really read seriously but mostly for enjoyment and to take me to those places I'm unwilling/unable to go to physically.
What is Your Favorite Music
Right now I'm listening to the Twilight soundtrack a lot but I like everything but progressive jazz.
Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Games:
Old faves: Movies: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Anything with Robert Redford, Julia Roberts, Michelle Pfeiffer, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt. Nathan Fillion is one of my newest favorites, including his Serenity. Go Joss Wheden!
TV: Castle, Medium, House, Firefly, news, cooking, HGTV
World of Warcraft is the only game I play.
I'm a Murphy fan so my favorite one from him is: "There's never time to do it right, but always there's time to do it over."
And one other that I honestly believe to be my guiding principle: "It's not what happens to you that matters but how you handle it that counts." .. unknown origin.
I use my camera, walk my Sheltie. I'm a tad incapacitated so the word "activity" involves most anything done while in a chair. I paint, play World of Warcraft, cook and drive my mom around town and crazy.
Am thrilled with their stardom..how great and terrible it must be to be so sought after and idolized I'd go nuts and need therapy if it was me or anyone in my family. A whole team of psychiatrists. Keep it together you three...and all your co-stars… Continue
Shelly "Bella was bruised and it had nothing to do with abuse. ;)" Doc: "Exactly right Shelly. Actually my desire wasn't to initiate a discussion on abuse, but rather on the accuracy or inaccuracy, of literary interpretation. As a moderator I have to some times assume a devils advocate stance. You are perfectly right. Your sincere friend, Doc
I read your profile and I think it's funny that you mainly listed your movies by the actors you enjoy -- I do the same sometimes! I've seen or come to own nearly everything Johnny Depp has been in; every time I'm flipping through channels and I come across Robert Redford, I have to stop and watch; and Nathan Fillion is also one of my more recent favorites. Castle is a fabulous show!
And, of course, Joss Whedon is the one I blame for pulling me into the world of vampires in the first place with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. :)
