~13 Reasons Why~ Book Review By Me
Why people my age, mostly girls, pick up books at Borders or wherever it is they shop-- is usually because of the hot guy figure in the backs of their minds ready to illustrate the same boring fantasy. We all know what happens when_____(boy) meets_____(girl). Not that the story doesn't make you fall for the characters any less harder the five-hundreth time around, but sometimes we need just a bit more variety.
In Jay Asher's, 13 Reasons Why the same fairy tale doesn't present itself in a book of heart shaped chocolates. No no. This twisted reality is much much darker. The book starts off with high school student Clay, as he is sending off the package he received around 24 hours ago; left on his doorstep with no return address. Inside the package are seven tape recordings, double sided from his crush Hannah Baker. Only one little problem. Hannah committed suicide 2 weeks earlier. So what's a box of tapes doing on Clay's doorstep? Well you'll just have to press PL>Y to find out. . .

As the voice of Hannah guides Clay around his town she reveals the life she's been living, what it's like for rumors to spread, reputations to be created, and most importantly feelings to change. The 13 reasons why Hannah stopped living.

Highly addictive. I just HAD to know what happened to Hannah Baker praying it was all a joke that she would really be alive, as her voice grabbed you and forced you to listen. Read. Now.

Beautiful movie :) James Franco's performance is breathtaking, tear-jerking, and "all of the above" XD
