Chapter One
Open My Eyes

It was a worm fall night. I was walking to my dorm room at the University of North Carolina. I had just left the library from a night of studying with my friend Sprit. Yea I know funny name right. But, she was my BFF. We had grown up together. We lived in the same foster home plus we were adopted by the same family. Couldn’t have been any luckier than we were. I had left her in the library studying. I had to get some sleep. I had been up for too long trying to get my sociology paper done before tomorrow. When I was almost to my dorm a very cute guy suddenly came into my view. I could usually smell someone coming before I saw them. Yea you heard me right. I could smell them. That was one thing I did know about my parents. That they where werewolf’s and that’s why they had to give me up. I was adopted by the Wolf family. Funny yea I know. My dad and I where the only ones who now the truth about me. He said that the first night I was at their home a man had came to the house and told him everything. He said that he thought it was my father. So ever cents then I have known and I accepted it. It’s not like I turn into a wolf on full moons or anything but I can change into a wolf when I fell like it. It’s pretty cool. I never told anyone not even my best friend. But, I looked up again and they guy was gone. Huff where did he go? I stopped and looked around and didn’t see anyone. I lifted my nose up to smell the air. There was a strong smell in the air. Kinda smelled like a grave yard. But, I just kept on walking tell I heard my name, “Carmen what up.” I turned around and it was Brayden my crush. I smiled and turned to face him when out of no ware something grabbed my arm and I could hear my arm snap and brake in 2 places. The last thing I saw was glowing green eyes and blond hair. When I finally could open my eyes it was dark really dark. I tried to move but couldn’t. I started to get freaked out. I tried again and still couldn’t. I felt around me. I was in a box. A box what the hell was going on? I lost it. I started kicking and screaming. I finally kicked a whole I the side and dirt came in. I lay there thinking of what had happened to me. The only thing I could really remember was that I was coming from the library and that Brayden had called my name that’s it. I couldn’t be dead. How could I really/ I didn’t understand. I lay there for a few more minutes tell I could heir digging then I really started looking around and I could see every little detail of the coffin I was in. There was light purple fabric inside. That was my favorite color. Then there was a beautiful wolf stitched into the top of the coffin that was running in the woods. My dad had to have done this. But, when did I die? This didn’t make any cents to me. I really couldn’t die and my dads know this so what’s going on? The digging got louder and louder tell I could hire it was only about a inch away from the coffin and then there was a thud. I started to scream again and started kicking. I put my foot throw the lead and I could see it was night after I pulled my foot back in. Someone hopped on top of the coffin and started to pull at it.
