DAKOTA FANNING CONFIRMED FOR NEW MOON!
After months of rumors, it has been confirmed that Dakota Fanning will be in New Moon, taking the part of Jane. Filming starts in the Vancouver area next month and the movie is due out in November (as if you didn’t know that...)

Dakota Fanning willdo a good job at playing Jane because she is a tremendous actress and she looks like she could play a vampire very well with her skin tone and unique voice.

She won't do any good for the movie.
She already has a reputation, and is too well-known, she also looks like a little girl! Isn't she supposed to be playing like a 300 or 400 year old beautiful, vicous, dangerous vampire?

I don't really like Dakota Fanning, But after re-reading New Moon, I think she'll do an okay job with the part.....I think the fact that she's so well known will hurt the film to be honest............ALSO, has anyone heard that America (Ugly Betty) will be playing Emily??? Or is this just an outlandish rumor?

I think she can portray the role very well!!
It's just that she's so famous..
It's better to choose a one-time actress on a movie because it would be better if the twilight saga would be the reason for anyone Else's being a "rising star", you know..

I think that Dakota will be o.k. as an actress. She's what I had pictured, but I think it would have been better to use someone who was less well known. Twilight fans already have to overcome what we've pictured in our own heads the many times we've read the books. Then if you add an actor with her own reputation...it's just one more thing to 'get over' when we see the movie.
