Sitting outside the sun warmed my skin. The reason I loved the sun so much was because you could feel it. I am blind. So I can't see anything touch is my sense and so is hearing. Right now I’m concentrating on a butter fly. Listening to the beat of it’s wings.
Every now and then I would concentrate on something else…like a bird in the woods or a squirrels. Then I heard my mom walking in the house. It sounded a little different. Like she was limping.
I got up and started toward the house. Jaws my cat helped me. Jaws was the biggest cat I’ve ever felt. Normal cats normally come half way up my thy, but Jaws came up to my waist.
My mother whispered something. She sounded hurt. “Mom?!” I yelled.
“Shelby…” I started to run toward her voice. I went in the door and almost slipped on something. I walked slowly forward. Jaws stopped which meant I did to.
“Mom?!” I called. At my feet I heard ‘Shelby’ I bent down and put my hand down. “Mom?” I put my hand on something wet, but it was on her chest. I followed it up to her neck. It was a gash. I moved my hand to fast and a little gust of wind blew in front of my nose. Blood.
“Are you ok?” I asked her. Then I thought of course she isn’t she is bleeding. She made a choking noise. “Mom?!” I shouted. I started to cry. “Mom!” She didn’t answer just more choking. Then it stopped just like it started. I sat down next to Jaws and cried for at least an hour thinking oh my gosh she’s really gone.
I got up and went to the home phone. I called 911.
“Hello?” The person asked.
“Yea I have an emergency…”
“What is it?!”
“I don’t exactly know what happened…”
“What does it look like?”
“I don’t know…I’m blind.”
“Ok we’re sending an ambulance over to assist you. Just stay on the phone with me.”
“Sorry I can’t I have to call some one else.” I said and hung up. I called a director because I didn’t know my cousins number. “Who may I direct you to?!”
“Uhm…” I sniffed “Isabella Cullen”
“You are now being directed to Isabella Cullen.” The phone started ringing. But then someone picked up.
