Sterling and I lay next to each other. We were in his bedroom, not kissing, not talking, just letting him hold me and listen to the sounds if each other's breathing.
My back was to him, and I could feel the gentle thrum of his heartbea aginst my body, as I was sure he could feel mine.
We often did this, just lay together. He always told me that my breathing was the sound he wanted to hear, and that me smiling was the picture he wanted to see.
He was too good to me. We had been dating for a while, almost six months, and I'd known what I was getting into from the start.
He was a human for crying out loud! Well, he was more than that...to me at least. He was gentle, yet strong. He was kind, yet frightening if you threaten someone he loves. I didn't really know if that included me. He'd never said he loved me.
Asfar as he knew, I was some cute human girl that was hesitant in relationships. He didn't know that I was a demon sent straight from Hell. Or, I might as well have been.Technically, I was born a human. I had human parents, a human brother...a human life.
I was a happy eighteen year old girl. I had just graduated and was going to go traveling a little bit before college, and all of it was stolen from me.
Just thinking about my human life made me sad. At the same time, it made me want to do out there and kill who did this to me.
My fangs instantaniously sharpened and lengthened. The venom began to leak from the ends of them, drip by drip. I inhaled deeply, and exhaled. I needed to calm down so that my fangs would dull a little bit.
If to much venom collected in my mouth, I may loose control. It was the venom flow in my mouth that really kicked my insticts into high gear. After all..Sterling was only a human boy. I was only..well...an imortal vampire.
The point wass that if I loose control in the slightest, then I might REALLY loose it.
Sterling's blood apppealed to me just as much as any other human boy, but he was so close.
His scent filled my nostrils. His embrace around my shoulders and hand on my waist made his scent linger even after I left.
The tenseness in my body alerted him. Niether of us had been asleep, but he knew me well enough to know tha something was proably wrong.
"Baby, what's wrong?" he asked while rubbing his eyelids. My heart sought out for him to touch me again, but the rest of me was strong enough to resist any urge. "sorry," I told him. " I have to leave." I pushed his navy bedspread off of the both of us. Don't worry. Nothing too graphic. He had on camoflouge cargo pants and a black t-shirt that showed off his muscles.
I had a tank top and pathed up shorts. I slipped on my shoes while I sat at the foot of his bed.
"You don't have to leave." He said with a strong plead in his voice.
