While doing an interview on Washington DC’s WJFK last year, David Slade, our director for Eclipse, was asked what movie he was going to see next and Twilight was mentioned. David than said, “Twilight drunk? No, not even drunk? Twilight on acid? No, not even on acid. Twilight at gun point? Just shoot me.”
Was he joking or it he actully a twi-hater? It is completely pointless for him to say this and than go and direct one of the sequels. If he is not joking, than I hope he realizes that this makes him look really bad and provokes you to think that he is only in it for the money. If he is not joking, well he is going to learn very quickly not to joke with Twilighters. The fan-girls don't really seem to have a sense of humor.
"BBC news is reporting that German Network RTL will be airing a Twilight related reality show. The show is to be titled “Mission Hollywood”. It will have contestants re-enact classic scenes from movies and do stunts in an effort to win a role in the series. German star Til Schweiger and acting coach Bernhard Hiller will be judging the contestants along with guest judges. According to the Hollywood Reporter, one of the guest judges lined up is Carmen Electra. The show begins airing on June 8th."
A recent press release from Summit, told us the news of how David Slade is going to be directing Eclipse.
"announcement was made by Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production.
Meyer stated, “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing ECLIPSE. He's a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we've been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I'm so happy that ECLIPSE will be carrying on with that tradition.”
Feig said, “Stephenie Meyer's ECLIPSE is a muscular, rich, vivid book and we at Summit looked long and hard for a director who could do it justice. We believe we have found that talent in David Slade, a director who has been able to create complex, visually arresting worlds. We cannot wait to see the ECLIPSE he brings to life and brings to the fans eagerly awaiting its arrival in summer of 2010.”
Well, we'll just have to see how this guy does, now won't we?
