'Instinct' Characters. Members of the Southern Sky Wolfpack/Pweicazcen tribe.

Topanga Eagleheart- (Gamma), Has feelings for Two Socks and is more interested in Sky Woman's teachings than Cheyenne, but Sky Woman doesn't find Topanga strong enough to lead her pack. Nicknamed Pang. She wants to prove Sky Woman wrong.

Caterin Nez- Prefers the big city, but stays in Washington as a loyalty to the pack. She is a trouble maker and stresses out Sky Woman. Sky Woman took her in when her original pack disowned her.

Cheyenne Kenidi- (Omega), Finds Sky Woman's teaching's boring and is more interested in having fun than becoming Alpha. She despises Two Socks and gets into trouble with Caterin. She picks on her rival, Topanga and tries to keep Sky Woman from seeing the potential in her. She only cares about power and sees the Alpha position as a means to do whatever she pleases.

River Kenidi- A New Yorker who joined the pack when he learned that he has a half- sister, Cheyenne, who is also a shapeshifter. He develops feelings for Sequoia that he calls strange, but eventually succumbs to them and tries to gain her trust and her love. He tries to figure out what is really driving his feelings for her. When he is rejected, he finds other ways to be in her life which lead to her acceptance of him.

Little Bear- the oldest pup and pupsitter. She idolizes Caterin for her free spirit and wants to be a normal girl. She is put in charge of the younger pups, Tanook, Somak, Chenoa, and Quorra. But, she doesn't like this job and doesn't like being lumped together with the younger pups.

Sequoia Tenia- River's imprint. A shapeshifter who ran away from her original pack because they were abusive towards her. She feels sorry for River and doesn't think his love is real. She rejects him and is afraid of his advances, but eventually he wins her heart, only to have his own heart broken in the end when she finds love with someone else in Sky Woman's tribe.

Sky Woman- (Alpha), She wants her goddaughter, Cheyenne, to succeed her, so she is teaching her philosophical, traditional values of the pack and life in general. She wants Cheyenne and her son, Two Socks to be together. Sky Woman doesn't want her son to be Alpha because she doesn't trust him enough with the responsibility of running her pack. She made him Beta wolf to appease him, but she has chosen Cheyenne as her successor.

 Two Socks- (Beta), son of Sky Woman. He is angsty because his mother does not trust him and will not teach him how to be Alpha. He accuses her of favoring the females over the males. He wants to become Alpha, but on his own terms and without Cheyenne. When he meets Leah Clearwater, he puts in motion his plan to take over the pack.

Little Bear- 13 year old shapeshifter adopted by Sky Woman. Two Sock's adopted sister.

Tanook-  11 years old. an abandoned little shapeshifter who was found by Sky Woman.

Somak- 9 years old. Sky Woman's godson and Cheyenne's little brother.

Chenoa- 1 year old. Sequoia and River's baby daughter.

Quorra-  3 years old. Two Sock's illigitimate baby daughter with Sunflower, a woman from the northern Makah tribe.
