Chapter 7- No Dinner (Bella's P.O.V)

I kissed Jake on the cheek and he picked up his menu. I could feel in the pit of my stomach how bad he was hurting. He loved Carmen so much and would do anything to protect her. “Hey Bella!” I heard the unfamiliar voice of Alice say. We hadn't talked since that little accident with Edward. “How ya been pixie?” I heard Jake say. “Hey Alice!” I said standing up and giving her a big hug. “Good, Puppy. And who's this little thing inside here?” she said pointing to my stomach. And giving me a suspicious look. “Alice, there's nothing there I'm just fat.” I told her trying not to laugh. Jacob burst into laughter when I said that. “Oh, my gosh Bella I'm sooo sorry. I didn't mean it like that, I thou-” I cut her off. Alice it's a girl. I'm about to deliver in about 2 weeks said the doctor I went to. Also, that reminds me we wanted to know is Carlisle Busy?” I asked her. “No he's not why?” she said. “Because I wanted to know if he could deliver the baby for me.” “I would feel so much more comfortable seeing as how he delivered Carmen for us.” I looked at Jake and smiled. Carmen groaned. Alice laughed. Then she saw something I could tell. The smiled on her face left and she got tense. She must've been having a vision. “I have to go to the bathroom” said Carmen. “No, you can't!.” said Alice. What did she see? “Alice? What happened?” I asked her. “I think you all should go home for the night. Bella I'll call you and tell you everything. Just go.” she said hugging me and kissing my cheek. When I was about to walk behind Jacob she grabbed my arm and said “Bella, you know Carmen imprinted on Edward right?” “Yes, I'm very aware of the fact. Why Alice did you see something?” I said. “Yes, If she would've went to the bathroom Edward would've caught her and asked her to the movies.” “I didn't know if you would allow that so I stopped her.” “I may very well have to allow that, but Jake won't for sure” I said. “I hugged her again and said thank you. Then ran to the car. “Ma, what happened? Why can't I go to the bathroom?” because Carmen. Then I saw a shadow by Carmen's window. I rolled it down and saw the face of Edward. “Umm,sorry to barge in like this but Carmen would you like to see a movie with me? You don't need to answer now just call me later please.” he said a walked away.

Chapter 6- Hell's Dinner J.P.O.V

“Oh Jacob, Bella come in have a seat anywhere you would like. Its great to see you.” said the cold voice of Edward Cullen. Doesn't surprise me that they own an Italian restaurant, I mean Esme and Rosalie love Italian cooking “Not as great to see you though” I thought in my mind. I knew Edward was listening because he smirked when I thought that. “How have you been Carmen?” He asked my daughter trying to use his seductive voice. I wonder why for sure he knows she imprinted on him, he has to have read her mind by now, or maybe...she's like Bella...impervious to his mind reading. “Hey Edward,I've been good,how 'ya been?” she asked him using her sweet little girl voice she uses to get everything from me. “I'm fine. Just helping around the kitchen lately for some extra cash.” He said getting closer to her. I used all of my strength not to rip him to shreds right then and there. Bella grabbed my hand and said “Edward we'll take that table over there.”. She pointed to the table farthest from the kitchen. “Jacob, sweetie calm down.” she mumbled under her breath to me. All my nerves were on end as Edward pulled out the chair for Carmen and handed her a menu. As Soon as his hand touched hers and she smiled I had, had enough. I stood up and told Edward “I think we're good now. You can leave Carmen alone she capable of getting a menu for herself.” Then I sat back down thinking the most horrible things I would,should,could do to him and he got the message so he bowed and handed me and Bella a menu then told us a waiter will be here in a moment then left. Carmen gave me a look of disappoint then looked around on the menu. “Jake, this is a high class restaurant, don't embarrass us please.” Bella said to me with her brown eyes. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and picked up the menu.
