Jacob could never be Edward for the simple fact that Jacob is immature because he's only 16 years old - Edward on the other hand is 19 (109) and has lived through centuries of being patient and observant.

because i think they like jacob cause they think hes better than edward but edwards better than jacob x

in my opinion,,i think jacob is more appealing and cool than edward since jacob is younger than edward..

I think people like Jacob because he's more physically visible than Edward.  Jacob is young and bold and hasn't learned to play the game.
