The Twilight Saga

I read an article the other day where Stephen King totally bashes Stephenie Meyer. He compared Stephenie and J.K. Rowling; and he stated that the difference between the two is that Rowling is a good writer, and that Meyer can't write worth a crap. (Basically).

This really pissed me off. I'm not really understanding why he thinks Meyer's writing is no good? It was so descriptive, that I could picture everything in my head without much effort! I was so hooked, that I couldn't put the figgen books down until I was passing out. I've read them all 4 times, and could go back for round 5!!! Please explain to me how books that can not only do that to me, but to thousands of others (of all ages!!!) can be considered bad writing? Also - for someone who had never wrote a book before...I think she did a damn good job! I looove to write, but I don't think my first book would be nearly as good as Twilight was.

So I am here to say that I completely disagree with Stephen King - and he should know that there are plenty of people who don't like his books and writing style either; but they're not prancing around talking crap like he is.

Ciao!
