The Twilight Saga

Thank you for voicing your concerns about the Midnight Sun sampler that has been appearing on eBay. The sampler was created for the release of The Host in the U.K. by the U.K. publisher with Stephenie’s consent. It contained only the first chapter, which at that time, had already been posted on While there are legitimate arguments about whether the person on e-bay should be selling it, the actual product was created legally and with permission.

I completely agree with this last post. When you become part of the Twilight World it becomes so addictive. I never imagined or thought as a mother of a four year old which keeps me on my toes everyday. That I could actually find my time. After I tuck my little girl at night and say prayers. I go straight to my Twilight books curl up and it takes me to a different place. Although I am anxious and I dont know many who are not. I know that alot like us Stephenie has her down time moments. She is a wife a mother and highly in demand. But I know that with my moments just like any other woman and if your a wife and mother you know that when you finally get to that good quiet place thats when you do most of your thinking it might be simple things who cares we all know that feeling and she deserves that down time to. I have a gut feeling she knows whats up. Twilight big ordeal look at all that happened last year. I can tell you one thing my daily schedule is hectic enough I can only imagine hers. Let 2008 calm down she went through alot. Let her spend some time with her babies and her hubby she will get her groove back. She has not dissapointed us yet.

I love these books and would love for her to finish Midnight Sun but I would rather wait until she is ready. The characters are s real and full of feeling. In order to develop those kinds of rich characters she has to really surrender herself to Edward's perspective. I think that would be hard to do if she is still hurting over the release of Midnight Sun. I have read lots of the opinions on here. I think it is hard to look at this situation from her perspective. We are the audience that gets to enjoy the fruits of her labor. Even though we get to enjoy these books she is not writing them for us. If you read some of her interviews she lets the stories lead her. It is a very personal and poerful process. I think that is what maked the stories so universal and powerful because she is not writing from the perspective...I need to get something out there so I can make a buck. Sure this is her living but her books are great because they are personal. Releasing Midnight sun isn't like stealing your neighbors newspaper. It is like someone stealing your journal and posting it in the most public place for all to see. It is a genuine violation. I don't know ut I would suspect that whoever did that was close to her and so it wasn't just a violation of her privacy but also a betrayal in a relationship. It's easy to have an opinion and be critical but I don't want her to rush any of her books no matter how bad I am craving the next. Give her some space. I am only 3 years younger than she is with two kids and I can't even wrap my head around all that she is juggling in addition to her "normal" life. Remember, Good things come to those who wait.

I COMPLETELY agree. I am 100% behind the decision of Stephanie Meyer completing Midnight Sun. I, unfortunately read the partial online. It is true, it somewhat leaves a hole in your heart and wanting more. Edwards point of view is outstanding. SO PLEASE reconsider it, we the fans need it completed!

Stephenie... Please reconsider completing Midnight Sun! Your fans beg you... what a sad loss for everyone. I can't bear to read it if it's not finished... it would leave a hole in my heart. COME ON EVERYONE... tell her how much we would LOVE to see her masterpiece completed! What an injustice this is for Stephenie... and a tragedy for not only her, but the fans. I put in my VOTE for supporting Stephenie in her completion of Midnight Sun!

I am new to the Twilight world (just this past month) but have already read the whole series & the Midnight Sun partial draft once & am reading them all a 2nd time now (am on Breaking Dawn). I cannot beleive how much I fell in love with this series & I really do hope that one day she will continue to finish Midnight Sun and continue to write about the other characters. I know that Breaking Dawn ends "happily ever after" but I'd LOVE to hear more about the happily ever after & hear more about the other Cullens & even Jacob. There are sooooo many more stories to be told & I hope that one day she will revisit the Twilight world - I don't see how she can't with all of her supporters but I can only imagine the betrayal that she feels & the pressure she must feel.

I love the Twilight books, but I can see why she's hurt. This is HER books, not ours. Yes I would love for her to write Edwards side, and maybe later she can. Please people let her greave. Stephine when your ready to let Edward speak, your true fans will be waiting. Thank you Stephine for giving us Twilight. Thank you for sharing.
