The Vampire Cabins

Summary


She's much more lethal than a vampire.
More powerful than a witch.
And in animal form (cougar) everyone's in trouble.
And now she's after Garrett Sage's girl, who he loves, but she doesn't love him...
Even his family can't help him against the monster terrorizing The V. Cabins ,and themselves.
And the one doing it can only say one thing

"Let the party begin. "




Prologue

The engine Sputtered and died. I knew this old Chevy would give out sometime but not now! The Red and blue lights were growing closer. I looked at the bag of money in the passenger seat and sighed. I slipped on my jacket and grabbed the bag. A twenty slipped out onto the seat. I looked into the paper eyes and shivered. I shoved it back into the bag and slipped the bag into a plastic one. I Pushed open the door and approached the bridge's ledge as police raced onto the bridge.

They were coming from every direction. What have i done?. I Shoved the cash into my jacket and looked over the edge. Deep water stared back. I couldn't stop to think as i jumped into the frigid water.

As i feel ,I realized No one would ever follow because the plunge was a good 50 feet. But My thinking cost me time. I hit the water too soon. Stiffness Crawled up my legs and spine. I took a gulp of the icy water and sank deeper into the water. My eyes wouldn't open and i couldn't move. I slowly faded into a darkness deeper then the water.

The sun woke me. It seeped from underneath the curtain and broke into many colors against all the mirrors. But it wasn't the colors but whispers that caught my attention. The voice were hushed and smooth. But their words were almost as interesting as their voices.

"What have you done?"
"What was i supposed to do, Let her die?
"It would've be wiser than this!"
"Well, I Acted on instinct!"
"You're instinct is to kill, not save ,Garrett!"
"This was the only place i could take her. She had stolen money, Thomas."
"Great, now we are hosting Criminals!"
"Thomas..."
"She could get killed here Garrett..."

I stopped listening at that comment. Killed? Where Was I anyway?I looked Around. Black trimmed Mirrors, Blood red curtains, crimson sheets... I was in the V. Cabins, the place that was a camp ground for very specific students. But why would i be killed? They weren't dangerous? Were They?

End of Prologue



Chapter 1



"The night is still young." Matt's words rang in Ivy's ears. She twirled a stand of fiery red hair as she contemplated on what to do. "True..." her velvet voice replied. But if they went out to feed, the guardians Would not like it. Feeding hours were over for now... But Ivy's throat was bursting with angry thirst. But they could sneak through them. "Matt?" Matt's brilliant blue eyes stared up at her. A sly smile spread across Ivy's face as he let loose a nod. Matt's lips curled up to expose gleaming white teeth as he laughed and said, "Feeding Time."

Sandra's eyes fluttered open as the sun reached them. It glinted of the windows and all around the room. She in took some air as she sat up. He Was still there. Sandra held onto a pillow as he gently raised his head. His russet hair reached his chin and his dusty brown eyes stared at Sandra.
His tensed body(which she could see under his tight shirt) relaxed slightly as he saw her awake. He nodded to her and she suddenly felt sleepy. She laid back and let sleepiness take her away.

When Ivy was full, she turned to Matt, who was feeding on a teenage girl. It looked like they were kissing, just with her not living. Matt licked his lips and tossed the body to aside. Ivy remembered what Garrett's Brother, Derek, had said on the first day of camp, " Now, you will on feed in selected hours on certain humans every few days. We hunt in groups on prisoners who've done a horrible things. If you are caught feeding on any innocent human, you will be killed." She remembered after that Garrett had stepped forward and named off students. When he reached Ivy he paused, "Amanda Reeves?" He looked up and asked, " Do i know you?" He shook his head and went on naming others, " Hadden Alaway, Rayden Lee, And Tanya North."

Ivy looked at her prey. A old teacher by the name of Timothy Hawkins. She's snatched him from the supermarket. She smiled when she thought of Derek's words. Watch Me...

Garrett paced in the hallway. Students passed him, knowing what was wrong. Some patted his shoulder. Some ignored him. Nickie Samuel was the only one stopped to talk. She barely whispered, " How is she?" Guilt overwhelmed Garrett. He mumbled, "Scared Shitless." Nickie grinned slightly, but it disappeared when she saw Garrett's tourtered face. "Sometimes that's just how it is." So true... Garrett lowered his head. Nickie sighed. He looked up and said, "Don't you have class to be in?" Nickie rolled her eyes, "Yep, Advanced Self-Control Lessons." Garrett raised his eyebrows, "And..." "You're the teacher." Garrett's head jerked up, "Crap." Nickie tried to cover him, " Well, you could say you had to take an emergency leave. We can always get Hayley to teach for us And-" He cut her off by shaking his head. "No, No, No i need to clear my head anyway.

When he reached the classroom,Nickie and her boyfriend Blake and some others were talking. But when Garrett entered, it fell silent. Murmurs filled the rooms,
"Traitor."
"Idiot"
"Human Filth"
"Disgrace for a vampire."
"Stop that!" Nickie and Blake chorused together.
Everyone stooped. He took his position by the board and silently wrote,

Vampire Analogies
Lesson 4.7

As he turned, a student stood up. Jeena Brassfield shoved her books into her bag and stormed off to the door. She studied Garrett for a moment then said, " Filthy Human Hugger." and marched out the door. He stared out the door and went back to the board. "Are you going to let her do that?" It was Rayden Lee, first. He turned to face her. "People may think what they want of me, but it doesn't matter, as long as the one I'm living for is alive, I'll be here." Rayden pushed on, " But still that doorknob verbally abused you. Doesn't that matter?" She tilted her head. Next thing Garrett knew Nickie stood up," I do." Blake soon after that, "I think it does." Then another, and another until all but six were standing.. Karin, His brother's girlfriend, spoke, " We, well most off us." She glared at a redhead boy name Matt, " We don't care if that human is yours to hold. We really wouldn't care if you ran off with her and changed her. God! You can be with a brick and we still would be a little bewildered, but still on your side." Matt jumped up angrily and yelled at Karin and the rest of the class, " Yeah! We don't care that a human is walking along side us. Food, that we can't eat! Someone who isn't supposed to be here, under Any circumstances! That filthy traitor brought a injured and vulnerable prey in her, and he protects her like he loves her! Garrett Sage, and anyone who agree with him, Are traitors of the Vampire's legacy! Us, Hunters living in peace with our Prey! I think not!"

Garrett was still sitting on his chair, listening when Matt hurled something at him. A desk. He dodged it as it went crashing into Hayley's room through the wall. Hayley looked from her board to the hole and gasped. She was in Garrett's room within seconds. She paraded into the room toward Matt. She slapped Matt and pulled him toward the door. She sounded like a grouchy old teacher rather than a 15 year old when she said, " Throwing Desks through my wall, eh? I don't think so! You have detention Mr. Harper and i promise you it won't be pretty!" Matt fought against her, but was no match.

After they left Garrett turned to the gaping hole in his chalkboard. Student's from Hayley"s class gathered around th girl who'd gotten hit by the desk. The was a lot of "Hadden!"s and "Are you okay"s, but Garrett's class hadn't moved. Garrett's eyes flew to the Hayley's chalkboard where it said.
