The Twilight Saga

I just have a quick question. In New Moon, Jasper attacks Bella when she slices her finger and Edward protects her, but how is it that the event even happened? Doesn't Alice have the ability to see the future? Wouldn't she see that coming? Also, to Stephenie, are you going to write more books for the series? Like Midnight Sun, are you going to write Edward's point of view for all the books? And are you going to write a follow-up to Breaking Dawn? I truly hope you do. This series of books has meant so much to me. It's given me a way to escape, if only for a little while, the world of autism. My 3yr. old son has autism and life is very tough for us at times. But your books have given me that precious gift. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Alice doesn't see it because it happens all of a sudden and she can't see until they are on that path. Bella wasn't intending to cut her finger so Alice couldn't even fathom that there would be any problem.
