"Spring Flight"

Flowers fall from the sky

Showering me as I spin in circles

with a feeling deep inside so high

thinking if my soul could fly

I would never come down.

"Birds"

A long whistle bursts through

my ears.

Piercing the drums with a sweet,

sweet song.

Swinging in the air and

navigating through the trees,

it sings. Listen to the love

and freedom it brings.

"Temptation"

Burgers and fries

piled high on my plate

each bite i take

makes me wince

because deep down

i have failed.

i have given in to the

saltyness and the flavor.

but don't touch my plate

or I will bite you.

"Broke"

I have no money in my pocket.

Nothing for you

Nothing for that hobo out on the street, curled up inside a dirty blanket.

I dig down in my pocket and pull out some strings,

 and a balled up piece of paper.

And sigh.

"Bottles"

Plastic plastic everywhere I turn

Plastic plastic everywhere I see

enraging the heart inside of me

PICK UP YOUR TRASH!

"Joyful"

the noisy birds on this spring morning

the sunlight seeping into the kitchen window

above the sink where i do the dishes

kids and pets running up, giving kisses

a hearty breakfast awaits at the mahogany

table. horses whinnying inside the stable.

"Luck"

some say they have it

some say they don't need it

some don't believe it's real

"Riders"

the wind hits my face

relaxes my horse

the dog runs beside us

even when we change course

"Peace"

We ride the waves of love

and fight the world's destruction

sing to the sycamores

and embrace signification.

All are important and all

deserves breath.

"Trees"

Hey you!

Stop hugging me

I am much bigger than you

so back off!

"Winny's Love"

silence and pain

wrapped up together

inside a soul you

probably know.

but, what is there

you can't really see

the invisible strength

of her love.

"Apple Pie Love"

sweet, juicy filling

plump grannies and brave jonathans

the braeburn bursting with pride

smiling, anxious faces waiting in line

for the famous apple pies.
