Today I was sitting around and being lazy enjoying my week off before school starts back up when my phone rings. It was my baby sister telling me their puppy still cant come home because her bladder burst and she had to have surgery. Mind you this is after he being in the hospital for over a week for having an embolism that left her hind quarters paralyzed temporarily and her trying to recover for the last few weeks. While talking to my baby sis and assuring her that Bella would be all right and like new sooner than she thought my daughter yells out that Michael Jackson died!I jumped up off my couch and told her "NO WAY". She said yes way and opened up the story online to show me. Before the story opened though I saw that Farrah Fawcett had died as well and was in shock. Had I ever heard of two actors dying in one day? I couldn't remember that ever happening. I had heard of plane crashes and things of that nature but not two unrelated actors dying in opposite places in the same day.Now I have to say that I loved Charlies Angels growing up and I wanted to be Farrah. I had the blond hair and blue eyes and so she was the one I pretended to be while playing. When it came to Michael I grew up with his music and remember how scary Thriller was when it first came out. I got the Thriller album for my 13th birthday from my BF Kara while my mom dined on frog legs at the Festival of the Little Hills in St Charles, MO. It is a crazy thing to remember I know but my 13th was the best and surpassed 16, 18 and 21 for me. That being said it was surreal to think that people who influenced me as a child were dying off. I mean I know I am older but not old enough to have 2 icons from my youth dying. It is crazy to say the least. All I know is I hope that it is 25 years or more before I have to deal with something like this. You expect people like Ed McMahon because of his age not that it was any less sad for his family and friends. However you see it coming more with the older actors and even with Farrah since she had announced her battle with cancer. I just didn't think she would end that fight so soon. But when you hear only crazy legal battles and weird lifestyles about someone who changed the face of music then they are gone it is wild. So, today no Twi talk only condolences to the family and friends of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. You changed our worlds in huge ways by being who you are. You will never be forgotten.
