Here's chapter 2! Enjoy!
The look on Seth's face was priceless. He looked like someone had just punched him in the face. "Wanna say something?" I asked. He looked to Jacob. "And you didn't tell me because?" He said. Jacob smirked. "I couldn't wait to see your reaction." My mom was chuckling. "I'll be in the living room....with the adults. Jake, let your brothers in when they come." My mom told me about Jake's bond with his friends. They were all so close, like they were protecting eachother. I thought that was sweet. "Well, if your just going to stand there like your stupid, I am just going to step over here. The doorbell rang. "I...um...got it." Seth said. I sat across from Jake. "Nice." He said to me. I smiled.
Seth came back with 4 incredibly HOT guys coming behind him. "Yo, Jake, nice to see you finally found another girl besides Bella." one of them said. "Shut up, Embry." Jacob said. "Guys, this is Anna. Anna this is Sam, Paul, Embry and Jared." He pointed to each of them.
"Hey." I said. Seth was still staring at me in shock.
"Seth and Anna used to be best friends. Seth is still suprised to see her." Jake explained.
"Stop droolin' Seth." Embry said. Everyone laughed.
"Um....sorry, Anna. It's just been.....a really long time." Seth looked at the floor.
"No kidding....your not the only one who missed her." Jake said. For the next couple of hours, I sat with the boys, as they told stories, teased, and made fun of eachother. Seth avoided me all together, not even bothering to look at me once. I found the nicest guy from the group to be Sam Uley. We talked about all kinds of things. He asked me about my father's death, my life before I moved back to La Push, even what Seth, Jake and I used to do when we were little. He told me about his fiancee, Emily, his childhood, and how he used to be in love with Emily's cousin, Leah. Even though I had only known him for hours, I felt like I had known him for years.
"Ok guys, it's past 11:30, time to go." My mom came in.
"Aww...c'mon, Mel." Embry said. He seemed like the goofy one from the group.
"We'll see you guys tomorrow." She replied. The guys left the house. Seth was the last to leave. I held the door for him. Could he go any slower? " Listen, Anna." He started.
He hugged me. "I really missed you." he whispered. I hugged him back. Once we pulled away, I looked at him "I really missed you, too." He smiled and left. I walked up to my room.
"What a day!" My mom came into my room. "You like the guys?"
"Yeah, they're awesome. Are we going to the same school?" I asked.
"Yeah....except for Sam, obviously. Jake already promised that he would keep an eye on you."
"I don't need a baby-sitter, mom. Why are we seeing them tomorrow?"
"There's a baseball game, so we're invited to go to the Blacks' for lunch. The Clearwaters' will be there, and I think Charlie Swan and his daughter, Bella. You remember them right?"
"Yeah, of course."
"And then there's a bon-fire tomorrow night. So, did you talk to Seth at all?" My mom asked.
"Nah." I frowned.
"He'll come around. He always asked how you were doing when you lived with your dad, he really missed you." She smiled.
"I know, good night, mom. I love you."
"'Night, hun. I love you too."
"Oh, and Pete?"
"Yeah?" He called from across the hall.
"Thanks for letting me live here."
"No problem." He smiled.
I know it's pretty boring and really short, but tomorrow, some interesting things go down at Jacob's house and at the bon-fire!
Chapter 3 should be up tonight.
