Ok, so I will admit that I am a 26 year old female who is in love with the Saga. I did not read the books before Twilight came out and I didn't even see Twilight until it had been on DVD for 3 months. Ok that might not be right, I saw it some time in April 2009. When the movie ended, I said that I may need to read the book because to me; the movie left alot to be discovered. I felt that there were many "minor" details that were missing. I still was not convinced to read the book yet; until my girlfriend told me that I would need to read them.
I had still put off on reading the books until July. I bought Twilight for myself for my birthday and started to read it. Lo and behold, I LOVED the book and I had gone out to by the other 3 and finished them all within the week. I definately liked the book better than the movie. Then I find out the second book is being turned into a movie. I got excited and hoped that it would be better than the first and with a lot more action.
I bought tickets to the midnight showing on opening day, and dragged my best firend and fiance with me to go see it. I was excited and hoped that it would stick to the book. Now I realise that with making a book into a movie you need to move stuff around, cut certain things out, and add scenes. Although with me personally, it pisses me off. If things are in a book at one point don't push it back or forward in the movie just because it makes better sense and the "Flow" is better. I also don' t think that you should forget the minor details that make the story. You can't just take the major points, forget the minor ones and make it into a movie. The "minor" things is what makes the movie that much better and keeps the original story going.
I don't know if there are others out there like me or not but if there is PLEASE have more of the details from the book in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie. We will like it even better.
