Twilight Saga books set a new Australian sales record!

Could the Australian Twilight fans be the best in the world?
Here at Hachette Australia we certainly think so. Thanks to your amazing support Stephenie Meyer has just set a new Australian sales record by holding eight of the top ten positions in the Nielsen BookScan chart.

The chart currently shows:
1. Breaking Dawn - red-edged
2. New Moon - red-edged
3. Eclipse - red-edged
4. Breaking Dawn
5. Twilight - red-edged
6. Eclipse - red-edged
8. New Moon
9. Twilight

According to Nielsen BookScan: "Since Nielsen BookScan started collating bestsellers in December 2002 this is the first time that eight positions in the Top 10 have been taken by the one author, with the previous best being six positions for J.K. Rowling in the Top 10 when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released in July 2008."

I wish someone could compare all the countries by adjusting the figures so it works mathematically (as AUS. can never compete in shear numbers with the U.S.) etc. It would be cool to really (in a fair way) see what country has the most fans per head population. Thats great though as we (Aussie's) can, sometimes feel neglected as fans when Actors/Writers/Bands etc. don't come over here very often.
