What is it exactly that makes it impossible for Bella & Edward to kiss?

In Twilight when Edward is in Bella's room he he tries to kiss her for the first time, and yells Stop...
What is the reason that causes this to happen? Since they can Touch, Hug, & be around each other- They Just can't kiss-
Is it because of Edward or Bella?

It's because of Edward he's afraid he won't be able to control himself in such a passionate moment and would in turn hurt her physically. Look in New Moon trying to protect her he pushed her so hard she flew into the wall. In a passionate kiss he could touch her face or arm and use too much pressure not hard for him and hurt Bella.

well, if you think about it REALLY HARD its Bella's fault. The reason... in the Kids Choice Awards Robert and Kirsten (Edward, and Bella) the were chosen for best kiss and when they were so posted to kiss since they won Kirsten refused and Robert wanted to! AND the same thing happened on the recent MTV awards.... the were nominated for best kiss... they won (2 YEARS IN A ROW!!!)...Kirsten refused to kiss Robert. But have you herd about them being engaged? I didn't know that and that's another reason they SHOULDN'T be afraid to kiss... WHATS UP THAT?
