You Never Know Where Life Will Take You... Chapter 4

Chapter 4
*Anne Marie's POV*

As I sat in the back of my 3rd period class, completely ignoring my Pre-Cal teacher droning on about percentages and such since I already had all the notes from yesterday, and I had taken out the portrait that Daniel drew of me.
It was amazing and I couldn't believe he had taken the time to draw it. I mean, it must have taken at least 2 hours! Because you can't get that much detail in a short amount of time...

*Fast forward*
After school we got into his car and went straight to his house.

As we got to his house and opened the door we walked in and Daniel called through the silence of the house.
"Hey, is anyone here? It's me and Annie," he said.

"Yeah, I'm in here," his mom called from the kitchen and then she appeared, wiping her hands on a towel. "Hey you guys, what are you watching tonight?" his mother asked referring to our usual Friday night ritual.
You see, every Friday night since 8th grade we stayed in, watched a couple of movies and ate take-out from our favorite Asian restaurant, since neither of us has really had a taste for pizza.

"Um, we don't exactly know yet, but I really want to watch Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas." I replied, as she started to laugh.

"As always, what would it be, the 5th week in a row? I think that's a new record!" she joked as she gave Daniel a hug and one to me as well. "Any how, you guys have fun!" and with that she left the room.

"So, do you really want to watch that again?" Daniel asked with a laugh turning to look at me as his mom disappear behind the kitchen door.

"Heck Yeah!!!" I said with excitement, resisting the urge to jump up and down. "I don't care what the second movie is, I just really want to watch it again!"

"Okay, we'll watch it one more time, but I'm just going to put this out there and say that we aren't going to watch it again for at least a month after this!" he said with half a sigh then started to laugh again when he saw me spazzing out.

"So, what do you want to watch?" I asked as we started up the stairs to his room.

"How about Disturbia? I really like that movie," he said and I nodded my head to aprove.

"Sounds good!" I said smiling up at him as he opened his door to let us in.

I just loved his room! It was so cool and it showed his personality and talents perfectly!
All the walls were black with only white and red accents on them like a blank canvas. Three of the 5 were completely covered in drawing or photos of things that caught his eye at one time or another posters of bands like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, A Day to Remember, Papa Roach, Jimmy Eat World, The Fray, All Time Low, Escape the Fate, Rise Against, Relient K, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, Thousand Foot Krutch, The Used, and many others. Another wall had a wide screen TV mantled on the wall and an awesome sound system. A DVD player and a whole cabinet full of CD's of those mentioned earlier and other bands and genres and mixes and his collection of DVD s including horror, comedy, thriller, action and even the occasional romantic comedy, was under it and took up a good portion of the middle of the wall which was opposite of his huge king sized bed. Which was on the other wall that wasn't covered. His bookshelf was on one side of his bed and was almost full of novels and journals. And on the other side was his dresser and closet. His room was freaking huge and it was just awesome in general.

"So, when do you want to order the food?" he asked as I took off my shoes, put my bag down, and got on his bed.

"I think we could wait until after the first movie, don't you? I don't want the food to get cold," I replied as he kicked of his shoes as well and went to turn on the TV get the DVD player ready.

"Sounds good. It okay if we watch Distrubia first?" he asked turning around with both in his hands.

"Sure! I'm good with that," I said as he put it in and turned of the light, then he came and sat next to me.

"Aw crap, we forgot the popcorn and drinks again!" he sighed as he got up and went to pause the movie. "Every time! How do we always forget?!"

"Epic Fail!" I laughed in reply. "We need to write it down or something!! It's getting to be sad..." I finished shaking my head as I continued to laugh.

"Okay, I'll be right back. Cream soda?" he asked.

"As always." I replied with a smile.

When he came back, we finally got to start the movie. And we commented and laughed all the way through. When it came to the part when Shia Lebeouf found his mom in his serial killer's basement and he comes in after him I jumped, and Daniel just laughed at me even though he had jumped as well.
When the movie was over, I got up and stretched as Daniel took out his cell phone and asked me what I wanted even though I always ordered the same thing.

"Beef and broccoli with lo mien and an egg roll." I said as he nodded. "What are you getting?"

"Sweet and sour chicken with fried rice." he replied.

"Thought so." I laughed as he dialed the number and placed our order.

"So, what do you want to do while we wait for the delivery guy to come? He said that it would be about 30 minutes." he said as he hung up and placed his phone back on his night stand.

"How about we just listen to one of you 250 CD's and hang out?" I suggested.

"That sounds good. What band do you want to listen to?" he asked, getting up and walking to the cabinet of CD's.

"A Day to Remember, defiantly! You do have Homesick, right?" I said jumping back on the bed and grabbing a pillow, laid down on my stomach facing the TV.

"Come on! How could I not?! They are one of my favorite bands and this is their most recent album!" he laughed grabbing it from the cabinet and placing it into the DVD player after removing Disturbia and placing it in it's case.
"What's your favorite song on the album?" he asked.

"It's a tie between Have Faith in Me, and Another Song About the Weekend. What's yours?" I asked in reply.

"It's usually The Downfall of Us All, but I really like those 2 as well. But I kind of figured that your favorite song on the album would be If It Means A lot To You..." he said with a laugh.

"Well, I really like that song, and it would probably be the 4th or 5th on my list for the album, but I guess I played it so much it got bumped down a little..." I said as I started to laugh myself.

"Okay. Now that that's over," he said as he pushed the play button. "Do you want to talk about the movie that we may want to watch after The Nightmare Before Christmas? Its only 7," he said.

"Hmmm...I didn't really think about it. What do you want to watch?" I asked.

"How about Nick and Nora's Infinite Play list ? I just got it and it's so funny!!" he suggested as he grabbed it out of the cabinet and threw it at me.

"I've been dieing to see this movie!!!" I yelled at him and ran and jumped on him, making him fall.
"Why didn't you tell me you had it?!?!?!?!??!?!"

"I didn't know you wanted to watch it that bad!!! And I just did didn't I?" he said as we started to laugh really hard. It took us a few minutes to calm ourselves down enough to get up and get the movie ready.
"So, I'm guessing that The Nightmare Before Christmas can wait?" he asked as he went to put the movie in.

"Oh heck yeah it can wait!!!!" I said as I started out of the bedroom. "But first I think we should go downstairs put the popcorn bowl up and wait for our food... Plus I really have to go to the bathroom!" I said leaning in the doorway before I ran to the bathroom.

"Good idea." he said when I got back and was already walking out the door with our cups and popcorn bowl. "It's been about 25 minutes, so they should be here any minute." he finished as we were walking into the kitchen.

The door bell rang just as we got another cream soda each and were about to leave the kitchen.
"Right on time. I'll get it." I said with a laugh and ran to the door turning to notice...

It wasn't the delivery guy...
