Dear Gema, I agree with you. The meadow was possibly the most sensual scene, I can ever remember reading.(The loos, the touches, the declarations A plus plus) I was just reading (Someones) essay on the differences between sensuality and sexuality in "Twilight" The auther's premise, which I think is right, is that the key to "Twilight's" romantic power comes from the sensuality that binds Bella and Edward together not from the sexuality. Which I think is so right.( ie his lips touched my neck, His crooked smile made me melt, he gently placed his jacket over my shoulders, you ARE my life now!) I agree sensuality wins hands down.Yours, Doc Honey and I got to have several days together, so I am behind in my responses. She is leaving for 2 weeks in the Am. Buttons and I already miss her.
Dear Gemma, When I post pictures from my home computer the colors are very vivid and strong. But when I look at them on my portable computer, they look washed out. The last picture on my new Discussion "Fire and Ice" should have very vivid strong orange colors like a forest fire. Are the colors vivid on your computer ? I need to decide which computer to post my discussiond on so the pictures will look the best for those recieving them. Thanks so much. In advance.
Bear hug to you
What a sincere pleasure to hear from you. I know that you have been busy lately.
You make a powerful point about a topic that I have just been studying. You say "a lot of the Twilight Saga is about fate and Bella from the moment she was born to be a vampire." I have just been reading Meyer's (coincidence) new book on a study of Tutor England. He says that, after Henry the eighth died, the English people wrestled with believing Luther's belief in "predestination.' Where your fate is determined even before you are born. Or Calvin's belief that "free will" is the key to understanding our destiny's. Stephanie keeps talking about making free will decisions. But I agree with you it seems as if Bella is fated. My college roommate was a Christian Science follower and he believed that: "Your life is fated from the moment you are born, BUT you can alter fate by using your free will to make decisions. Kind of like Alice demonstrates when she says: "The future is always changing as people or vampires change their minds about doing things.
I certainly agree with you that every thing about Bella screams vampire. Meyer's admitted that she may have subconsciously given Bella some vampiric traits. She certainly has a touch of something about her that isn't human.
I work my a... off for the Rose. But one of my greatest paybacks is getting to share with YOU! But with all of the discussions going I sometimes get lost. Please do me a favor ALWAYS< ALWAYS drop me a message in my TTS mailbox giving me the URL ADDRESS to your posts. And I Will never miss another one. The otherday we were discussion Carlisle, and 25 middle schooler in a row said (Esentialy "I think Carlisle is GOOD What do you think) I was thinking, "wouldn't you realy rather be sharring adult opinions with adults like Gem!!!!?? I realy would appreciate it if you would send me those addresses because once you have had the joy of sharing with a sneaky cat, there is nothing quite like it.
Well if it isn't our most precious Gem. I did miss your post. So sorry for both of us. With a dozen discussions going, I miss my own posts sometimes. An occasionaly you do sneak one bye me. But isn't that just the way of a "sneaky cat" who took typing classes!
