Letting Peyton stay behind, Gwyneth came back to Toby.
"I think I should get us both home." Looking at the three in front of them, she tried to smile and nodded a bit. "It was nice to meet you all and I apologize for my friend." She replied, looking at them all once again before going back up the street to go meet back with Peyton and take them both home.
Watching them leave him, Toby looked back at all of them and smiled slightly. Eh, why not? Could be fun and he was always up for fun. Leaving them all his number, he chuckled.
"Off the top my head, I don't remember the other two's but just call me to work something out. I should make sure they get home okay though."
Before he went to catch up to the two girls, he turned back around. "Forgot to introduce myself, name's Tobias but everyone around here likes to call me Toby!"
Waving at them, he scurried back along Gwyneth and Peyton.
Tobias looked over at Tiff and took the paper from her, half confused but shook that off and read it over, raising a brow.
"Well he'll be finding out about them soon." He replied softly with half a chuckle, giving the paper back to her.
So his senses weren't off, good; he wasn't losing it. But he knew they weren't all like him and he was worried about it. Not afraid like how bad Peyton was but he was a bit worried. How they lived, they couldn't even trust their own kind, just in means of survival. So he did realize that Peyton and Gwyneth left and he sighed to himself.
"It was very nice meeting all of you but I need to make sure those two are okay." He continued, pointing down the block.
Finally catching up to Peyton, Gwyneth snatched her around the waist and pulled her into her, making her friend squeak in surprise. Placing her down onto the ground again, she placed her hands on her hips and Peyton smiled a bit and then sighed.
"Gwyn, he was human, and you know what you said about them..." She stated, frowning a bit. "I want to go home." She continued, watching Tobias talking with them.
"I know he was sweetie but you do you really think-"
"But you told me all humans were bad and that we shouldn't assimilate. You said humans weren't as good as us!" She continued, making Gwyneth sigh a bit.
"Yes I said that because well, it's the truth. But you're older and a lot stronger so you shouldn't worry."
"But how come he's with our kind? Do they work for him? Are they altered?" She asked, making Gwyneth shrug. "Well, if they knew who we were, they'd would have kidnapped us already or something."
She felt almost bad for telling her all of this, she realized how screwed she made Peyton in fearing humans. But, she needed to hear it from someone.
Tobias shrugged a bit, cursing himself when the two left in a hot pursuit. Just because he was a man, didn't mean he was good at socializing with others.
"She's afraid of people, she tends to keep to herself." He chuckled a bit. "She'd a bit odd like that so she doesn't like talking with new people."
Watching the other male put the girl down, Tobias looked down at her as if observing her.
"Hello." He replied, smiling a bit at her to try and seem like the friendly person he was. "What brings you all out here so late?" He asked, directing his question out more broadly.
Looking over at Peyton, Gwyneth felt pretty bad that wherever they went, all the human boys flocked to her. She practically felt her fear pounding against her chest. It was her fault in a way for her friend's fear. She'd tell her all the horrible things human did to their kind and poor Peyton never wanted to see another human in her life after that. Hey, she needed to know about those horrors sooner or later.
Practically trembling, the younger girl tried to speak but was too afraid to say anything. Her fear got the best of her and she fled, sprinting out ahead to try and go back home. Cursing to herself, Gywneth looked towards Tobias.
"Pardon." She murmured to him and went after her, tying to catch up to her. All Peyton did in those situations was run so she was much faster than Gwyn.
Both Gwyneth and Tobias stopped walking, obviously more concentrated on their surroundings and sensed other species near them. When one of them spoke, Tobias heard Gwyneth hiss under her breath quietly and the both of them turned around to face the three behind them. Not having to look at one another, they already sensed the presence of vampire, human, and either shapeshifter or werewolf. The feeling was much too broad to them to hone in on the specific species. Toby grabbed Peyton, stopping her from walking ahead.
"Hey!" She began to scream out before he turned her around. Blinking a bit, she cowered into herself at how close she was to a human, the feeling bothered her to no end.
She didn't like humans all that much, not because she didn't like them in a negative way but she lived in fear of them. No matter how much she went out or did anything, she always worried about having to interact with them solely out of fear. Not knowing how to continue, she opened her mouth to try and speak but Tobias cut her off.
"Nice to make your acquaintance." He replied carefully, unsure of how to approach them.
It was always such a disadvantage for Peyton at night, being a woman and all. The last thing she needed tonight was to get mugged or jumped or something. She never understood why human men always liked to pick on their women, why didn't they venerate them like her coven did? That was one reason she didn't like walking out at night. But she was glad she wasn't alone, nor was she ever. Her best friend Gwyneth was right next to her, almost in sync with her footsteps as they walked down the sidewalk. Looking at her, she smiled.
"Did you have some fun tonight?" She asked her, Gwyneth shrugging a bit.
"I'm not sure to be quite honest. Clubs around here aren't so fun." She admitted, sighing a bit. "The guys are jerks and the nice ones that you find there and much too shy to want to get to know you. I just went to feed for old times sake." She said with a laugh, making Peyton smile a bit.
"Is it because you aren't good with guys because your so tough?" She teased, punching Gwyneth's stomach teasingly. Laughing, the older girl shook her head.
"I dunno to be honest, I guess I can be intimidating at times." She admitted, a smirk playing at her lips.
The best moment of Tobias' entire day was probably closing up shop after a long day of work. He worked at one of those small mini mart like stores some days just to make some extra money for whatever he wanted. And to look normal of course. Once he locked up shop, he decided to just head home, there was nothing he wanted nor needed to do. Starting to head home, he noticed how dark it was, the moon only a sliver in the sky. He sighed a bit and continued walking, hearing the clacking of heeled shoes in front of him. Two girls walked and he felt like he knew them. Hell, he knew everybody. Purposely, he walked a bit faster and sniffed, smirking.
He probably did know the two, he knew too many vampires for his own good. Pacing the taller and perhaps older looking one, she turned to his direction, narrowing her eyes slightly.
"Oh Gwyn, don't get all pissy with me." He snapped playfully, making the shorter one look at him again and then started to giggle, covering her hands over her mouth cutely.
"Oh Toby, don't do that; she could have killed you!" Peyton teased as Toby pushed in between him, making Gwyneth roll her eyes.
"So what are my two beautiful lady friends doing out here at this hour? Looking for poor chaps to eat like you vixens do?"
Toby cradled his face, now red with Gwyneth's hand print on it. Peyton giggled even more at him.
"Call me a vixen again and my foot will be up your ass."
And with that, Gwyneth took after Tobias on a hot pursuit, making Peyton laugh so hard she felt blood tears form from her eyes, holding her sides.
