She sighed and rolled her lips together, feeling him move the bed beneath them. She glanced so that she could make eye-contact with him. She tried to fix her hair so it wasnt covering her face as much. There were no tears but they were already forming in her eyes.
She was very quiet as she looked at them both. To her, they were beautiful. Of course. She just didn't understand why her baby boy had been taken from her so suddenly. She would still love Mia unconditionally... and try to be the best mother possible. She would also never forget their baby boy. The doctors filed out of the room and left them alone.

James hadn't quite left the hospital yet, so she desperately called him in. She took Mia into her other arm so that she could cradle both of her children. She kissed both of their foreheads even though their baby boy's lips were blue and he was unmoving. To her he was still beautiful. Mia kicked her legs and cooed as she touched her mother's cheek.

She shook her head and looked at Mason, barely able to speak and tell him. "Mason. Stillborn means that... he didn't make it. His oxygen was... was cut off... and he didn't... didn't survive." She choked on her own sobs and pulled him close into her chest.

The nurses were trying not to talk to them much. They simply took the baby from the sheets and wrapped him up in a blanket. "Chrysanthemum... he's stillborn." They handed him to her and turned back to the doctors. She was speechless and devastated totally.

Without even pushing, she feels a strange sensation. And then relief at last. She frantically looks at the doctors and freezes. It's dead silent in the room besides the working monitors. "Well? What's going on?" Her voice shook and she took deep breaths.

She sighed and the doctors nodded. "We can wait five minutes. But any longer then that and the baby will be damaged." She looked at Mason and continued taking deep breaths. She stroked her belly and closed her eyes to make sure she was calming down.

She took a deep breath and looked at him, then looked at the nurses. "Can I wait? Five minutes? I just need a little bit of breath and rest. Please." She begs and bites her lip.
She was feeling stressed and confused, covering her eyes with both of her hands. She knew she needed to do what was best for the baby inside of her. She didn't have the strength to deliver him or her naturally. It would have to be a c-section. She bit her lip and let out a sigh of defeat. "Just let them do it to me." She sounded devastated.
The tears fell faster and she shuddered, shaking her head slowly. She shut everyone else out and only focused on Mason. "I didn't want to do a c-section." She bit her lip and swallowed hard. When she thought of Mia leaving... that agonized her worse then anything.

She looked up in his eyes, feeling his hand over her forehead. Her first concern was the other baby inside of her. "I... I can't, Mason. I don't have enough strength left to do it on my own." Her voice cracked and she whimpered.

She breathed fast and hard, panting, sweat covering her forehead like a slick layer of water. They shook their heads. "No! No, no... the twin was hiding behind the other on the ultrasound image." They sounded afraid themselves.

She had to trust James with their daughter. She needed Mason with her and at her side. She was crying now and her body was trembling. Some of the nurses gave eachother looks and then looked at them. "Did you know you were pregnant... with twins?"
