I'm not going to lie, I don't think I could handle being at school that long. My high school started at 8:00 am and we got out at 3:15 pm. We had to study and all of that on our own. A lot of people were involved in some sort of after school activity. I was in marching band all four years so for the first half of the year I would spend 3 hours on tuesday and thursday night at practice, then my saturdays were usually spent at competitions.
University is different though. We sign up for classes and can set our schedule for as long as we want it. I will have 5 classes in a row in the morning next semester then I'll be done.
I haven't. There aren't vampires here. The guy who wrote Dracula, Bram Stoker, based Dracula off of a Romanian Prince, Vlad Țepeș, otherwise known as 'Vlad the Impaler'. He's the reason why everyone assumes we have vampires here.
It depends on your major. It'll take me about 4 or 5 years to graduate. I'm studying English Second language. I want to teach kids who speak spanish to speak english. I'm taking Portuguese and I will also start taking Spanish next semester.
It's pronounced just like Katelynn, just spelled differently. Mine is spelled the old irish way.
How long are your school days? I've heard they're longer than ours.
Rice is very common here. I don't use chopsticks. I don't know how. I just use a spoon or fork. We have chinese resturants here and they'll give you the options of chopsticks, but if I want to be successful in eating my food it's best I just use a spoon. :)
People come in all shapes and sizes here. There are heavy people here who are just naturally that way. There are people bigger than me who exercise and eat really healthy, but they are just predisposed to be heavier. There are also heavy people who aren't healthy, just as there are skinny people who are unhealthy. Your weight doesn't determine how healthy you are. There are many factors that determine that. Weight can determine that, but that's only if you're obese. I don't like steak.
My mom cooks fish, chicken, rice, soup, stews, spaghetti, lasagna, and turkey. We usually eat beef in a stew my mom makes. We also eat, potatoes, mushrooms, various other vegetables. We eat a lot of seafood at my house.
