Isn't it wonderful? You've been one of my blessings, too.
I'd love to come to Forks TODAY if the Good Lord would see me through, but I think the earliest I'm going to be able to manage will be next year. I am looking forward to meeting you when there.
As for today, watch out for that second piece of pie; Rob'll tell you, it can really sneak up on you. Happy day!

I am so happy to hear you got it and liked it. It was my pleasure to send it to you, but it can in no way match the pleasure I felt with your Forks care package!

Susie, I hope you get your little envelope from me. I can't thank you enough; this is my small token to try.

SUSIE! OMG! I love my Forks paraphenalia! It's the coolest thing ever, from the Forks fork to the LaPush stones to the Thriftway bag to the Postal stamp! I don't know how I will ever be able to repay you!!!
Thank YOU!

No worries about rambling, Susie, I seem to do that all the time. Sent you my email address along with my real address. Thanks again for the thoughtfulness!

Well, now, that's a toughie. I don't want Charlie to toss you in jail, but I don't want you to incur an unnecessary expense... I will leave this to your discretion! Thanks, Susie. It's the next best thing to being there.

Susie, I am so very disappointed tosay I'm not going to make it to Forks this year. One of my best friends is getting married on the same weekend; I can't believe she didn't consider Bella's birthday! (How rude!)
Thanks for the souvenir offer! I can tell you there's only 2 things I want: A fork from Forks, and a rock (nothing touristy, just a pwetty wock as Claire would say).
You'll be in my good graces forever!

It was nice to get to know you a little better. Boy do I ever love coffee. I usually hit Sonics here because the closest Starbucks we have is about 15 minutes away in another town that is in my county. I am sorry that you had a bad time last year, but I am more glad that it is turning around for you.!! Happy Twilighting!!

Great pics, so those were the wolf dancers! Did you know the real Dr. Cullen was at the FYE DVD release party in Tacoma and Jacob was at the Walmart up river from Portland?

Hi, have been meaning to get a note off to you since Forks. I think I am still recouping from all these weeks of no sleep leading up to the "big" day!

I sure don't think Forks was prepared for that many to show up! I told a waitress there in a restaurant to go on line the next time they have a Twilight event planned to see how many might be coming. At least that article in the paper said how many copies of the DVD were reserved for pick up. Or at least up to when it was published so I kind of had an inkling. I was counting the DVD's reserved and then figured a lot of those people would have someone in tow. She was the only waitress in the restaurant that day, they didn't think it would be that busy. I felt so sorry for her, she looked exhausted.

Boy.... we sure should have taken our pictures when we talked in line! I just thought for some dumb reason that they were going to get everyone into wherever they were going to have the party and I would see you later. Little did I know I would never see you again or that we wouldn't get in the door until a few minutes before midnight. They told us in line that they were going to clear the building and let the rest of those outside in. I sure looked forward to that because I was a popcicle! We were supposed to see the Quileuttes dance, there would be a raffle, food and drink and then a "surprise" at midnight. I think we got up stairs at maybe 2 or 3 minutes before midnight, there was nothing to drink,( I didn't need food ) the wolf dancers were packing up, no raffle, don't know what happened at midnight that was a surprise unless it was that they started handing out the DVD's in Dazzled but that woudn't have been a surprise since that is what we came for!

It was just one of "those" trips, the perfect storm conspiring against us. We had to cancel our reservation at the resort. We tried but didn't expect to get a place to stay that night and we didn't. We thought about staying in Port Angeles but got back there sooo late that we just came on home. The truck and RV are still in Bremerton. My son-in-law borrowed a truck to go pick up the 5th wheel and when he was pulling out of the storage lot with it, the trailer hitch broke and the 5th wheel dropped. Still don't know the extent of the damage to the trailer and truck but a lot. They bought the 5th wheel when it was a year old but it had never been used and they haven't used it much either, it was a very nice one. I feel bad as it was my idea to go to Forks but my son in law said today that when everything gets fixed we are going back out there. I am surprised he is even talking to me! The day we got back from there I put my status on Facebook as, "I have been to Forks and have no idea what it looks like!" We got there in the dark and of course left in the dark so I hope we do get to go again before SM days in September.

We ate at the restaurant across from your motel, it was good food. I would have liked to gone shopping more although I did spend a lot in Dazzled. I really think if they had planned it better it could have been such a neat event. They have had other Twilight stuff in the school so I wish they had done it for the DVD release party. They could have had things going in the gym and cafeteria and handed out the DVD's in 3 or 4 class rooms. And at least if it was in the school, if everyone couldn't get into the same room at the same time at least they could have waited in the halls instead of outside in the weather. I was just so thankful it wasn't raining in the wettest place in the US!

Would I do it again? Ask me when they release New Moon to DVD next year! I am just hoping they are doing a better job of planning for SM days and are able to handle a large number of people if they come.

So how did it go for you guys? I don't know if you put a post on the board or not, I am sooooo far behind that I am not going to go back and read all I have missed. In reading the post about DVD release parties over on Amazon, I don't think there were too many good ones. I think they were all caught off guard as to how many would come. One way that we were a lot better off than most..... we seemed to have a great mix of people age wise. One of the big complaints I heard about the mall parties were the screaming teens. We didn't have that and I met so many nice people in the short time we were there. I hope you all had a good time though, I do want it to go well for Forks. I have heard they could really use the money. Later..... shea

Hi Susie - I don't live near the mountains - I live *in* the mountains - we are at an elevation of just under 9,000 ft. I would absolutely love to visit Washington, even before Twilight, I always heard rave reviews about the whole state. Maybe one day I will get there; I'll certainly let you know if I do so we can meet up!

Thank you Susie. I check out every member who joins here and try to find their age...if they dont post it...I really think 10 is way to young to be in our group and IF I had a younger daughter I would try to incourage her to join a younger group......

I am thinking it is EST also. What is the name of the Italian restaurant in Port Angeles and is it one you have eaten at? Italian is my favorite. I am sure we won't get to check it out on the way to Forks but who knows about on the way back. Or my husband and I camp up that way and if I can get him to take me out to eat and it is good....... I would love to try it.

I saw a picture of Forks on tv this am because of a wreck they had out there. I couldn't believe it....... Hwy 101 was covered in snow. But the weather report for the weekend looks a bit warmer.

Just a few more days! My daughter still has to work Friday but she gets off earlier..... 2pm. That means we won't get out of here until at least 3pm, that is if her husband/our chauffer gets off early too. I think he is pretty good at arranging things like that though. Because of getting out of here later we will more than likely go up through Port Angeles. I have gotten caught in that traffic south of here too many times. I remember one time we were going out to Ocean Shores and it took us longer to get to Olympia than on out to the coast. I am really looking forward to this............

Well, I have Friday off, now my daughter and her husband have to get their ducks in a row and we will be good to go. Came home from work this afternoon and I5 was very ugly. You are wise to get out of town at 2pm.
